Компания Core Scientific, занимающаяся майнингом биткоинов (BTC), планирует продать значительную часть своих активов примерно за 170 миллионов долларов по текущей рыночной стоимости. Продажа позволит ей в ближайшие месяцы перейти к вычислениям в области искусственного интеллекта (ИИ). Несколько криптомайнеров уже предпринимали аналогичные шаги, ссылаясь на рост центров обработки данных для ИИ и необходимость диверсификации операций.

Падение цены BTC подтолкнуло к продаже

В своем последнем финансовом отчете Core Scientific намекнула на план продажи большей части своих биткоинов, что знаменует собой изменение ее долгосрочной стратегии. Большая часть продаж вступит в силу в первом квартале 2026 года с учетом рыночных тенденций.

Компания подчеркнула усилия по монетизации значительной части своих активов, около 2500 BTC. Это соответствует явной тенденции ухода майнеров на фоне падения цен на криптовалюты.  В прошлом году Core Scientific и другие майнеры приостановили продажи и начали накапливать активы, следуя за рыночным импульсом.
