Walmart is set to pay $100 million to settle a delivery driver lawsuit filed by the Federal Trade Commission (FTC).The FTC and 11 US states allege in a complaint that Walmart misled drivers about how much they would earn when making deliveries over the Spark Driver app for the world’s largest retailer.The FTC accuses Walmart of causing the independent contractor drivers “to lose tens of millions of dollars’ worth of earnings” over four years as a result of the alleged deceptive practices.Walmart has used the Spark Driver program since 2018, giving gig workers the opportunity to deliver its groceries and other merchandise.Says the complaint,“Since at least 2021, Walmart has made false representations to drivers about three key areas of driver earnings: the pre-tips selected by customers at checkout, base pay, and special ‘incentive’ earnings opportunities. In addition, Walmart has made misrepresentations to its customers about whether their tips will be paid to drivers.” The FTC says drivers generally decide which jobs to take over the Spark app based on what they expect to earn.Says Christopher Mufarrige, director of the FTC’s Bureau of Consumer Protection,“Labor markets cannot function efficiently without truthful and non-misleading information about earnings and other material terms.” The complaint accuses Walmart of several deceptive actions, including failing to disclose the tips on deliveries were not preauthorized and they could end up receiving a lesser tip or none at all. Core Scientific最初是一家专注于比特币挖矿的公司，是全球最大的公共矿商之一。但近年来，该公司一直在大力进军人工智能计算业务。

截至2024年底，该公司的总算力（或称“哈希率”）达到每秒20.1艾哈希（EH/s）。2025年年度报告显示，随着人工智能业务的扩张，这一指标已降至17.9 EH/s。

不仅如此，该报告还指出，Core Scientific 预计将在 2026 年将其持有的比特币几乎全部变现，其中大部分交易将在第一季度完成。事实上，出售工作已经开始，该公司在 2025 年第四季度财报电话会议上宣布，已于 1 月份售出超过 1900 枚比特币，套现 1.75 亿美元。

The cryptocurrency market staged a strong rally today, with Bitcoin climbing past $73,000 and lifting the broader market alongside it. The sudden surge pushed the total crypto market capitalization to roughly $2.47 trillion, marking one of the strongest intraday moves in recent weeks.

Bitcoin led the advance, trading near $72,700–$73,000 after gaining more than 5.5% in 24 hours. The move added tens of billions of dollars to Bitcoin’s market value, which now stands at over $1.45 trillion.

The rally was not limited to Bitcoin. Ethereum climbed above $2,130, rising more than 6.6%, while XRP moved up toward $1.44, gaining nearly 5% as the bullish momentum spread across major cryptocurrencies.

Much of the rally began with Bitcoin breaking through important technical levels.

Crypto analyst Lark Davis pointed out that Bitcoin recently moved above its 20-day exponential moving average (EMA) after spending nearly a week trading around that level.

He said that reclaiming this indicator could signal the start of stronger momentum. The last time Bitcoin achieved a similar breakout earlier this year, the price quickly rallied by nearly $10,000 in a short period.

Still, Davis warned that volume has not yet surged dramatically, meaning traders are waiting to see whether the move develops into a full trend reversal or remains a short-term relief rally.

Ethereum is also approaching a crucial technical level. Analysts say $2,100 acts as an important breakout point for Ethereum’s chart structure. A decisive move above that level could open the door to a larger upward move.

Some technical projections show that a breakout could trigger a potential $500 upside move, which would place Ethereum closer to the $2,700–$2,800 range, near previous support zones.
