BitGo has launched a new institutional service that lets clients mint, redeem, and manage stablecoins from within a single platform.

The rollout begins with support for $USD1 and SoFiUSD, extending BitGo's push deeper into stablecoin infrastructure.

BitGo is moving further into the stablecoin plumbing business, this time with a product aimed squarely at institutions that want issuance and redemption built into the same workflow as custody and asset operations.

The company said its new service will allow institutional clients to mint, redeem, and manage stablecoins and other digital assets directly through its platform. The initial launch includes support for $USD1, the stablecoin tied to World Liberty, and SoFiUSD, issued by SoFi Bank, an OCC-regulated and FDIC-insured depository institution.

BitGo moves closer to the issuance layer

That matters because stablecoin infrastructure is increasingly becoming a scale business, and not just a custody one. Institutions do not merely want a place to hold assets anymore. They want fewer operational handoffs between issuance, settlement, treasury management, and redemptions.

Price approached a critical supply zone, keeping focus on whether buyers could extend the move.

Trading Volume rose 83.5% to $45.42M, reflecting stronger engagement behind the rally. However, the move neared a region that historically capped upside.

This left VVV at a key decision point, where structure and activity needed to align for continuation.

Can higher lows break resistance?

VVV formed a series of higher lows along an ascending trendline, keeping the broader structure intact.

Price compressed below the $7.20 resistance while holding above the $5.75 support. This structure showed buyers stepping in at higher levels, reinforcing upward pressure.

Even so, repeated resistance tests signaled supply remained active in this zone.

As price tightened near the upper boundary, the structure pointed toward a potential expansion. If the breakout holds, trendline support could drive continuation beyond resistance.

On top of that, MACD crossed above the signal line, with the histogram turning positive. This shift indicated strengthening bullish momentum behind the move.

Do VVV inflows signal selling pressure?

Spot Netflows have turned positive, with $931.21K in inflows recorded, marking a shift from prior outflow dominance.

This transition suggests that tokens are moving back onto exchanges, which introduces potential sell-side liquidity.

However, the timing of these inflows coincides with price testing resistance, which often reflects positioning adjustments rather than immediate distribution.

Exchange deposits increase available supply, yet they do not always translate into instant selling pressure.

As price holds near the upper range, these inflows create a layer of caution.

The HKMA says its stablecoin regime grew out of consultation work that included a December 2023 legislative proposal and later licensing guidance. The government then set August 1, 2025, as the date when the Stablecoins Ordinance took effect, making fiat-referenced stablecoin issuance a regulated activity in Hong Kong.

That legal framework gives the regulator room to move carefully. The HKMA has already published supervision guidance and a dedicated AML and counter-financing guideline for licensed stablecoin issuers. It also maintains a public register for approved firms, which still shows no names.

From a market perspective, the delayed rollout adds short-term uncertainty but also reinforces the message Hong Kong has repeated since 2025: it will allow crypto growth only under bank-grade compliance standards. That could slow launch timing now, while improving credibility later for institutions that want a regulated path into tokenized payments and settlement.

Another factor that pointed towards a deeper reset was the UTXO Profit Count Percent. The metric measures the number of individual unspent transaction outputs (UTXOs) that are worth more today than at the value they were last moved.

The 30-day and 365-day moving averages of this metric were at 69.1% and 87.5%, respectively. This underlined weakness, but not a full market reset. For context, the previous cycle's 1-year moving average hit 55.7%.

In May 2019, the metric's yearly average declined to 63.8%, both of which were quite far from 87.5%. There is stress in the market right now. And, by the 365-day moving averages' standards, there may be more room for a full structural reset
