Recent commentaries suggest $XRP and Ripple Treasury now have a direct link to SWIFT, but the real situation may be more complex.

Discussions around al possible link between $XRP and SWIFT have emerged after Chad Steingraber highlighted Ripple Treasury's presence in SWIFT's Certified Partner Program.

However, this connection is not new and does not mean $XRP directly integrates with SWIFT. The SWIFT linkage existed long before Ripple acquired GTreasury, and Ripple's role has mainly been to improve the platform by adding blockchain capabilities.

Key Points

Chad Steingraber recently highlighted Ripple Treasury's listing in SWIFT's partner program, suggesting a direct $XRP-SWIFT connection.

$XRP does not directly connect to SWIFT, as the integration exists only at the treasury platform level and not between their core networks.

GTreasury had already integrated with SWIFT's Alliance Lite2 platform as far back as 2014, long before Ripple's acquisition in 2025.

Layer BitGo Launches Institutional Minting and Redemption Service for Stablecoins

BitGo has launched a new institutional service that lets clients mint, redeem, and manage stablecoins from within a single platform.

The rollout begins with support for $USD1 and SoFIUSD, extending BitGo's push deeper into stablecoin infrastructure.

BitGo is moving further into the stablecoin plumbing business, this time with a product aimed squarely at institutions that want issuance and redemption built into the same workflow as custody and asset operations.

The company said its new service will allow institutional clients to mint, redeem, and manage stablecoins and other digital assets directly through its platform. The initial launch includes support for $USD1, the stablecoin tied to World Liberty, and SoFIUSD, issued by SoFi Bank, an OCC-regulated and FDIC-insured depository institution.

That matters because stablecoin infrastructure is increasingly becoming a scale business, and not just a custody one. Institutions do not merely want a place to hold assets anymore. They want fewer operational handoffs between issuance, settlement, treasury management, and redemptions

A fight over stablecoin yield and regulatory control is turning a flagship crypto bill into a fragile political trade-off.
The CLARITY Act entered Washington as a bid to impose a durable market structure on crypto. It now sits at the center of a four-way fight over who gets to define that structure, who gets paid inside it, who supervises it, and how much of the existing financial rulebook survives the rewrite.

The bill still includes broad language for jurisdictional clarity, with the Senate Banking Committee majority outlining a framework that draws lines between the SEC and the CFTC while adding tailored disclosures and anti-fraud protections.

Around that frame, the coalition has fractured into four camps with different definitions of success. Senate and industry backers still want a federal market-structure bill that gives crypto firms a workable path into US regulation.

Bank-aligned critics want to seal off stablecoin yield and keep deposit economics from migrating out of the banking system. Regulators have begun moving through their own channels, with the SEC and CFTC signing a new memorandum of understanding and the SEC issuing a fresh interpretation of crypto assets that begins to deliver some of the clarity Congress had reserved for itself.

Structural critics still argue the bill would carve crypto out of core investor protections, a case advanced by groups such as Better Markets and by former CFTC Chair Timothy Massad in prior congressional testimony.

That collision changed the shape of the bill. What began as a question of statutory design has become a contest over bargaining power.

Europe's first blockchain IPO is here: France’s new exchange is taking aerospace firm public onchain



France’s Lightning Stock Exchange, known as Lise, is preparing to host what could become Europe’s first fully onchain stock market debut, a step that brings tokenization into the initial public offering (IPO) process.

The Paris-based exchange, approved last year under the EU's Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT) pilot regime, plans to list French aerospace supplier ST Group on April 9, according to a Thursday press release.

ST Group builds composite parts used in aircraft, defense systems and space programs. The company says it has about 59 million euros ($68 million) in potential program revenue over the next decade and aims to scale output as demand rises across aerospace and military supply chains.

Tokenization has gained traction among large financial firms using blockchain rails to settle trades and track ownership of assets such as bonds, funds and equities. Proponents say tokenization could improve capital markets with cheaper and faster settlements and more efficient operations. Wall Street giants like the Nasdaq and NYSE are also laid out plans for tokenized securities trading on their platforms.

Lise pushes that concept further by moving the IPO process itself onchain. The exchange focuses on small and mid-sized firms that would face high costs and long timelines when raising capital through traditional markets. It is backed by French lenders such as BNP Paribas, CACEIS (a subsidiary of the Crédit Agricole Group) and Bpifrance.

ST Group's debut, if successful, could offer a blueprint for smaller firms a cheaper and faster path to public markets within European rules.
