For now, market sentiment will depend mainly on the actions of retail investors and on-chain users of the platform, as participants assess whether the next move will be a short-term rally or a further decline.

Team transfers tokens to the exchange

Recent on-chain activity indicates movement linked to the team behind the asset.

Data indicates that in the early hours of the 6th of March, a wallet linked to Pump.fun executed two transactions that transferred its native token, PUMP, to the cryptocurrency exchange Bitget.

The first transaction involved the sale of 1.75 billion PUMP, valued at roughly $3.54 million. The second transaction transferred 5,000 PUMP tokens, worth about $10.

Transfers from private wallets to centralized exchanges often raise concerns about a potential sell-off, as such movements typically increase the likelihood of tokens entering the market.

Despite the transfers, the market has yet to show strong volatility. PUMP's price has declined by 1.73%, while trading volume has dropped 21% to around $100 million during the same period.

Bloomberg senior ETF analyst Eric Balchunas revealed that the fund began trading with roughly $11 million in seed capital. The ETF also carries a 0.35% management fee, placing it among the lower-cost crypto investment products.

The new listing allows investors to gain exposure to Polkadot through standard brokerage accounts. There is no longer a need for investors to handle any personal keys or digital wallets.

In its latest analysis video, cryptocurrency analytics company Santiment evaluated current developments in the cryptocurrency market, the impact of geopolitical risks, and key on-chain data.

Santiment analyst Brian Quinlivan stated that the cryptocurrency market experienced a “volatile” week. He noted that tensions between the US, Iran, and Israel, in particular, created significant uncertainty in the markets.

According to the analyst, news of such conflicts undermines confidence in the market and causes investors to seek “safe havens.”

Bitcoin reportedly reached its highest level in the last month in the middle of the week, climbing to $74,000, but this rise was described as a “bull trap.” When Bitcoin reached $74,000, it was observed that large investors quickly took profits, and retail investors then sold off.

As a positive development, it was noted that the supply of Bitcoin on exchanges has fallen to its lowest level since December 2017 (approximately 5.88%), indicating a trend towards long-term holding. It was also noted that the phrase “altcoin season” on social media has dropped to its lowest level in the last 3-5 years. Santiment pointed out that moments when public expectations have fallen so low can often herald significant price increases.

Dogecoin and other memecoins reportedly experienced a brief surge following low social media interest, but subsequently saw a 10.5% decline across the sector.
