#A U.S. trade tribunal sided with Apple on Friday, rejecting Masimo Corporation's push to reinstate an import ban on Apple Watch. The U.S. International Trade Commission chose not to review an earlier judge's ruling that Apple's redesigned smartwatches no longer violate Masimo's patents covering blood-oxygen monitoring technology, effectively closing the case at the commission level.Masimo, now owned by Danaher, retains the option to appeal to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit in Washington. The company declined to issue a public statement following the decision. Apple, however, was vocal in its response. "We thank the ITC for its decision, which ensures we can continue to offer this important health feature to our users," the company said, adding that Masimo had spent over six years pursuing legal action, with nearly all of its claims ultimately failing.The legal battle between the two companies stretches back years, rooted in Masimo's allegations that Apple poached key engineers to gain access to proprietary pulse-oximetry technology used for measuring blood oxygen levels. That dispute led to a significant setback for Apple in December 2023, when the ITC blocked imports of the Apple Watch Series 9 and Ultra 2 after determining they infringed Masimo's patents. To sidestep the ban, Apple temporarily disabled the blood-oxygen feature before reintroducing a redesigned version last August following clearance from U.S. Customs and Border Protection. The updated watches now display blood-oxygen data on paired iPhones rather than directly on the watch face.Masimo continues to fight on multiple fronts. The company has separately challenged Customs' approval of the redesigned devices and is pursuing Apple in California federal court for patent infringement and trade-secret theft. On April 18, industry chatter picked up around reports that DeepSeek — long known for turning down outside investment — may finally be preparing to raise external capital for the first time. According to a tech-focused media outlet, the company is in early discussions with investors, aiming to raise at least $300 million at a valuation of no less than $10 billion.
If true, this marks a significant shift in strategy.
DeepSeek has previously declined offers from top-tier venture capital firms and major tech giants, choosing instead to maintain independence in building its AI models. But the landscape has changed. Developing cutting-edge AI today isn’t just about talent and vision — it requires enormous spending on compute power, infrastructure, and data.
Insiders suggest that the move is less about abandoning principles and more about strengthening its position in an increasingly expensive arms race. Simply put, staying competitive in AI now demands deeper pockets.
Still, not everyone is convinced. A representative from a large state-owned equity institution hinted that while the fundraising rumors are “likely true,” the project is “currently not investable,” suggesting potential concerns or uncertainties behind the scenes.
Efforts to confirm the news directly have so far come up empty. Executives linked to Huansheng Quantitative did not respond to calls or messages, leaving key details unverified.
Whether DeepSeek goes through with this funding round or not, one thing is clear: the AI race is entering a new phase — where even the most independent innovators may need to embrace capital to keep up.

The crypto market witnessed a strong surge as Bitcoin pushed above the $76,000–$78,000 zone, driven by improving global sentiment and easing geopolitical tensions. This breakout has opened the door for a potential continuation toward higher resistance levels, with bulls attempting to maintain control of the trend.

Bitcoin’s structure currently reflects strength, supported by an upward-sloping 20-day EMA and an RSI approaching overbought territory. A sustained move above $76,000 could confirm a bullish ascending triangle pattern, setting up a potential rally toward $84,000 and possibly extending to $92,000. However, failure to hold above key support levels may result in a pullback toward the lower boundary of the pattern.

Ether is also showing resilience, holding firmly above its short-term support near $2,235. Continued strength above the $2,415 resistance level could drive the price toward $2,800 and eventually $3,050. This would confirm a broader recovery structure, but a sharp rejection could still invalidate the bullish outlook in the short term.

XRP has started to regain momentum after reclaiming its 50-day moving average. With improving RSI and upward pressure building, the price may attempt to challenge the descending resistance trendline. A successful breakout could indicate a shift in trend, while failure may lead to a retest of lower support levels around $1.27.

BNB is showing signs of reduced selling pressure after moving above key averages. If buyers maintain control, the price may push toward $687, and a breakout above that level could extend the rally toward $730 and $790. On the downside, failure to hold current levels could keep the price ranging between $570
