While bearish sentiment dominates the crypto market, billions of dollars continue to flow in, painting a contrasting picture between price action and institutional demand. As the cryptocurrency attempts a recovery, analysts are once again eyeing a return to the $100 level. However, the question remains whether the current ETF momentum could be the catalyst that drives a price recovery.

Solana ETFs Hit Record Levels Amidst Price Decline
Solana has been experiencing a rough stretch in the markets lately, with its price falling well below $100 and hitting a low of $85. The drop marks a prolonged bearish trend that has tested the patience of many investors who entered the market at higher levels.

Despite weak price action, Solana Spot ETFs are attracting capital at an unprecedented rate, surprising even seasoned market watchers. This suggests that long-term conviction in the cryptocurrency remains strong even as short-term selling persists.

Notably, Bloomberg ETF analyst Eric Balchunas brought Solana’s ETF numbers into focus in a recent post on X, highlighting that the investment fund has accumulated an impressive $1.5 billion in net inflows since its launch in July 2025. He noted that this remarkable growth occurred despite SOL’s 57% price crash from its ETF launch date, which was one of the toughest debut periods for any ETF product.

Balchunas pointed out that when Solana’s market cap is compared to Bitcoin’s, the numbers look even more impressive. On that basis, the inflows into Solana are roughly $54 billion for Spot Bitcoin ETFs, approximately double what BTC itself attracted at the same point in its ETF journey. He noted that the key difference here is that Bitcoin was surging at the time, whereas Solana reached equivalent inflows while in decline.

The crypto token Avanatis [AVNT] outperformed the entire crypto market as it surged over 24% in the last 24 hours. The market cap of the entire sector only rose by 0.48% as the Fear & Greed Index jumped from “extreme fear” to 26 as of press time.

In fact, the spike in price action was reflected in the daily trading volume that jumped by 528%, as per CoinMarketCap.

This indicated growth in trading activity, which was fueled by fundamental news and supply dynamics, which likely contributed to increased investor interest.

Why Avantis’ price rallied in the past 24 hours

According to Avantis on X

, they were embarking on reducing the token supply. To achieve this, they would be using 30% of the daily trading fees generated to buy AVNT from the open market and permanently burning them.

In fact, this systematic buy-back and burn mechanism was rolled out immediately, with the second milestone targeting a 50% burn of the fees. This would accelerate tightening the supply of AVNT tokens, whose maximum supply stood at 1 billion, while the circulating supply was at 319 million tokens.

As per the Avantis Foundation website, the total burned tokens had already reached 57,324 AVNT, worth about $9,167. The highest number was burned on March 11th, which represented half of this total, 28,981 AVNT value

Last night, an event dubbed "the most absurd fat finger in DeFi history" caused a stir in the crypto community.

The protagonist of the story was an anonymous "big spender." Through the Aave DeFi lending protocol's app interface, he initiated a seemingly simple transaction: exchanging a staggering $50.43 million worth of USDT stablecoins for AAVE tokens.

How large was this transaction? Large enough to instantly "dry up" the liquidity of most tokens on the market. Because AAVE tokens inherently have limited trading depth, such a massive buy order directly triggered catastrophic slippage. Simply put, slippage is the difference between the price you expect to be executed at and the actual price. In this transaction, the slippage exceeded 99%.

What does this mean? After the transaction was finally executed through on-chain routers such as CoW Swap, the user only received 324 AAVE tokens, worth approximately $36,000 at the time.

Aave founder Stani Kulechov subsequently explained the incident on social media.


According to his description, the user completed the transaction on the Aave mobile app. When the system detected the potential for extreme slippage from this massive transaction, a risk warning popped up, prompting the user to check a confirmation box to indicate acknowledgment of the risk.  The user checked the small box on their phone and clicked confirm.


They stated that the entire process complied with standards and the protocol itself functioned correctly.
