Tokenized gold is becoming productive collateral in crypto lending, Arch says Tokenized gold has moved deeper into crypto lending after Aave’s XAUT-backed debt reached a $25 million ceiling and Arch Lending added loans against the two largest gold tokens. Aave’s $25 million XAUT debt ceiling was fully used before additional capacity filled within 24 hours.
Arch’s Himanshu Sahay said investors increasingly want to use tokenized gold instead of passively holding it.

Tomorrow Is a Big Day for Bitcoin: A Major Change Is Coming

Luke Dashjr, a Bitcoin developer and leading figure in the Bitcoin Knots project, has indicated Sunday, August 30th, as the target date for a significant Proof of Work (PoW) change that could affect Bitcoin’s mining algorithm. Dashjr stated that miners using SHA-2 should halt mining on Saturday, as this would be used to prepare for the mainnet rehearsal of Bitcoin Knots version 29.4.1rc4.

According to Dashjr’s post, Bitcoin Knots version 29.4.1rc4 will be configured to fix the last SHA-2 block before the transition. Then, after the online version of the New York Post’s Sunday morning print edition is published, the “canonical blake2b_headline” parameter, to be used at the start of the new BLAKE2b-based chain, will be shared.

On September 1, 2026 at 00:00 UTC, 39,488,745 $EIGEN leave lock-up at EigenCloud, the project that ran under the name EigenLayer until 2025. That amounts to 4.49 percent of circulating supply and, at the August 29 price, roughly $7.66 million. The whole tranche goes to two recipient groups that the emissions model lists as Investors and Early Contributors: to backers and to early staff. There is no airdrop inside it, and none of it reaches stakers.

The date itself is the smaller part of the answer. September 1 is not a special tranche but the next instalment of a fixed monthly series that began in October 2025 and ends in October 2027. Anyone holding $EIGEN is therefore dealing with a permanent property of that position: on the first of every month, insider supply can reach the market on schedule. Nobody had written this up in German until now, even though the series has been running for eleven months.

According to data from crypto.news, Bitcoin ($BTC) was trading around $77,500 at the time of writing, down 2.9% over the previous 24 hours. The price briefly fell to $77,078 on Aug. 28 before stabilizing above $77,000.

The pullback followed a failed attempt to hold above $80,000. Bitcoin reached an intraday high near $81,200 earlier in the week but faced selling pressure as traders reacted to Federal Reserve Chair Kevin Warsh’s speech at Jackson Hole.On the 4-hour chart, $BTC has moved below the Bollinger Band midpoint at $78,815. The upper band sits at $80,639, while the lower band has climbed to $76,992.
