Trump launches quantum race as crypto faces Q-Day threatPresident Donald Trump has signed two executive orders designed to accelerate U.S. quantum computing development and prepare federal agencies for the potential security risks posed by future quantum machines.

According to the White House, Trump approved the measures on June 22 as part of a broader effort to strengthen American leadership in quantum technologies, a field widely viewed as critical for future advances in computing, communications, and cybersecurity.

Speaking during the signing event, Trump said “quantum technologies represents the next generation of innovation across computing, sensing, and networking,” adding that the sector carries significant implications for economic growth, scientific research, and national security.

The first order, Executive Order 14411, establishes the Quantum Computer for Application Development and Discovery Science, or QC-ADDS, initiative. Under the directive, the Department of Energy must identify technical requirements for an advanced quantum computer within 90 days and work toward deploying at least one such system at a federal research facility.

The Department of Commerce is also tasked with exploring ways to encourage participation from private-sector quantum computing companies.

Additional provisions require federal agencies, including NASA, the Department of Energy, the National Science Foundation, and the Department of Commerce, to develop five-year plans for advancing quantum sen

Centralized Wall Street gatekeepers to control investors’ route into tokenized stocks through old pipes

24X National Exchange's latest tokenized stock filing has put Wall Street's core plumbing at the forefront of the equity-tokenization race.

The exchange filed SR-24X-2026-20 on June 11, with the SEC issuing its notice on June 16 and the June 22 notice placing the filing in the Federal Register.

The rule change would let eligible 24X members trade certain securities in tokenized form during a Depository Trust Company pilot, according to the SEC's notice filing.

The filing frames tokenization as an upgrade to the national market system rather than a workaround. The model described by 24X keeps the exchange, DTC, participant eligibility, order-entry controls, and shareholder-rights protections in place.

The token layer changes how eligible positions can be represented and settled, while the legal identity of the share and the market structure around the trade stay intact.

The filing's answer is practical: tokenized stocks look like legacy market infrastructure adding a token wrapper.

The filing would amend 24X rules covering eligible securities, member access, order priority, and routing. The proposed structure would allow DTC Eligible Participants to trade tokenized versions of eligible equity securities and exchange-traded products on 24X during the DTC pilot.

The SEC notice says the securities would trade within the current national market system, using DTC to clear and settle trades in token form based on instructions selected when orders are entered.

That keeps tokenized equity activity connected to the same market architecture that governs ordinary exchange-traded shares.

24X also framed the proposal as part of an exchange-led pattern. The filing says it is based on a similar Nasdaq proposal that the SEC already approved.

The organization did not disclose how much funding it has received.

Founded by former senior Ethereum Foundation researchers Ansgar Dietrichs, Barnabé Monnot, Caspar Schwarz Schilling, Josh Rudolf, and Julian Ma, Ethlabs has been created as an independent institution focused on technical research for the Ethereum network. The group said its work will cover areas including settlement speed, network capacity, native asset issuance, cross-chain interoperability and Ethereum’s monetary design.

The launch comes as Ethereum’s development ecosystem increasingly relies on independent organizations alongside the Ethereum Foundation.

Ethlabs said the structure gives researchers a dedicated home with long-term funding while allowing them to continue working on core protocol issues.

Among its founding members are researchers who have previously contributed to Ethereum’s work on scaling, finality, data availability, protocol economics, and virtual machine development.

Bitcoin treasury Strive's shares jump as company's holdings near 20,000 BTC

Strive said it purchased 759 bitcoin for approximately $50 million.

The company’s shares (ASST) rose about 10% in early trading.

Strive, the bitcoin treasury company founded by Vivek Ramaswamy, saw its shares jump about 10% in early trading on Monday after the firm said its total BTC holdings rose to nearly 20,000 coins.

The company said it purchased 759 bitcoin at an average cost of about $65,850 per BTC, for a total investment of roughly $50 million. Strive's shares (Nasdaq: ASST) hit a high of $16.31, up nearly 10%, before trading back to the $15.40 area at the time of publication.

Bitcoin's price also rose slightly on Monday to $64,967.60, according to The Block's BTC price page.

The stock's gains came as Strive's perpetual preferred stock, SATA, continued recovering after falling below $93 last week amid elevated trading volume. At the time, Chairman and CEO Matt Cole described the selloff as a "leverage liquidation event, not a deterioration in underlying credit quality."

Sales of SATA are designed to help Strive fund BTC purchases. Bitcoin has displayed significant volatility in recent months, falling over 50% from trading at an all-time high of nearly $125,000 late last year.

Recently, Strive CIO Ben Werkman told The Block that if bitcoin continues trading at lower levels, the downturn could trigger consolidation among treasury companies.

Strive said Monday its total holdings sit at 19,864 bitcoin, ranking it the seventh-largest, publicly-traded BTC treasury ahead of SpaceX and Coinbase.

XRP Still Has a Very Bullish Market Structure as Price Finds Support Around Major 2021 Level
The current XRP downtrend may have lasted for a long time, but it still maintains a bullish long-term structure and could rebound considerably soon.

At the time of writing, XRP trades at $1.13. Barely one year ago, the coin made a new all-time high of $3.66, breaking its over 7-year peak price. Now, the 69% correction from that peak to the current level comes amid a prolonged price downtrend that has plagued the entire crypto market.
If the month closes as it stands, XRP would have dropped in 8 of the last 9 months, with the exception being the mild 2% increase recorded in April. This clearly reflects the current state of the market and how bears have dominated proceedings for a long time.

Nonetheless, higher timeframes paint a different picture. While the trend has been corrective for months, the 1-month chart shows that XRP still maintains a bullish structure. The asset has consistently made higher highs and higher lows since inception.

Even the current bear market has not broken this trend. As such, this downward push could be another higher low pattern where price retests key resistance-turned-support zones before another uptrend to new highs.

This consistent broader bullish structure continues to strengthen the narrative that the current prolonged decline could be temporary and part of a broader bullish picture, as long as the asset holds key price levels.

Solana [$SOL] rebounded above the $70 mark with price up by about 2% in the past 24 hours at press time, amidst a wider market recovery. Notably, the daily trading volume was up more than 20% to around $2.20 billion.

Solana’s rally began late last week after a TD Sequential buy signal, lifting the price about 8% from $68 to $74. However, momentum now appears to be shifting on shorter timeframes.
