Cross-chain interoperability protocol Axelar has disabled its connection to Secret Network following an exploit that resulted in the loss of approximately $4.67 million in bridged assets.

In an update on June 19, Axelar said it had identified an incident affecting assets bridged over the Inter-Blockchain Communication [IBC] protocol from the Axelar chain to Secret Network. The team said the issue appears to be isolated to the Secret-side ICS-20 smart contract used in the Cosmos IBC connection between the two networks.

“Approximately $4.67M worth of tokens” were taken, according to the protocol.

Avalanche [AVAX] dipped 9.50% on the 19th of June. This bearish outlook appears to be driven by ongoing geopolitical tensions, the broader market trend, and the breakdown of a major support level. 

At press time, AVAX tanked 9.50% over the past 24 hours and was trading at $6.07. Despite the sharp price decline, the asset’s trading volume recorded a sudden spike, indicating strong participation from market participants.

This surge in activity suggests that traders are actively following the current trend, further reinforcing AVAX’s bearish momentum.

Ethereum is seeing strong network growth, and a new Etherealize breakdown of Token Terminal’s Ethereum Q1 2026 performance report explains why. Even though lower fees might look negative at first, they’re actually part of Ethereum’s plan to make the network cheaper and easier to use.

That strategy seems to be working. Over the past year, monthly active users jumped 85.9%, transactions rose 81.5%, and network throughput increased 81.7%, showing much higher overall activity. And the growth isn’t slowing down.

The upcoming Glamsterdam upgrade is expected to more than triple the gas limit, while Ethereum’s long-term roadmap aims for 10,000 TPS and faster finality by 2029.

Ethereum’s user base remained one of the largest in crypto despite a broader market slowdown.

Active Loans: $21.8 billion (-16.6% QoQ, +39% YoY)

One of the biggest highlights was user activity.

Based on the report, monthly active users reached an all-time high of 13.2 million, up 53.5% from the previous quarter and nearly 86% compared to a year ago. Whereas, the transaction count hit a record 200.4 million, while network throughput climbed to 25.78 transactions per second.

At the same time, Ethereum layer-1 fees dropped to $39.9 million, down nearly 48% quarter-over-quarter. The decline came as network upgrades made transactions cheaper and increased data capacity.

In simple terms, more people are using Ethereum while paying less to transact.

Ethereum remains the dominant blockchain for tokenized assets.

AllUnity has expanded Europe’s regulated stablecoin market with SEKAU, a Swedish krona-backed token designed for institutional settlement and digital payments under the EU’s MiCA framework.

The company, a regulated European stablecoin issuer backed by DWS, Flow Traders, and Galaxy, previously announced its intent to launch SEKAU as the world’s first fully reserved and MiCAR-compliant Swedish krona-backed stablecoin. AllUnity’s official communications described SEKAU as a regulated e-money token backed 1:1 by Swedish krona reserves, with redemption rights at par for holders.

According to AllUnity’s latest launch communication, SEKAU is intended to extend the company’s multi-currency stablecoin strategy beyond its euro and Swiss franc products. The broader point is that regulated stablecoins are becoming less US-dollar centric, especially in Europe, where MiCA has created a clearer framework for electronic money tokens
