Kalshi is one of the largest prediction markets regulated by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC). Its rival, Polymarket, has gotten approval to re-enter the U.S market, but has a massive global market share thanks to its lack of KYC (Know Your Customer) requirements.   

Similarly, Kalshi has expanded to 120 global markets. However, the lack of KYC provisions for offshore markets is now raising concerns about bad actors gaming the markets. In a letter to Kalshi’s CEO Tarek Mansour, the Committee pressed, 

The rapid global expansion of Kalshi’s platform raises questions about whether internationally placed event contracts are subject to equivalent identity verification and insider trading prohibitions as domestic event contracts.

A similar letter was sent to Polymarket’s CEO Shayne Coplan. Now, the Committee wants to know their KYC systems, whether it applies to global users, the trading history of any U.S government employee, including military officers, among others. 

Worth noting though that regulatory pressure is also building overseas. 

For example, India has banned prediction markets under the Promotion and Regulation of Online Gaming Act (PROGA). Recently, the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeiTY) flagged VPNs (virtual private networks) being used to bypass domestic restrictions on these betting markets.

Data from CoinGecko showed that the EdgeX exchange’s perpetuals trading volume has been in decline since the final week of March. This can likely be attributed to the slowdown in crypto sentiment.



Bitcoin has grown slightly since late March, but a long-term uptrend remains elusive. And, altcoins as a whole have not been able to secure more capital inflows.

Despite the downturn in perpetuals trading, the token has performed relatively well since early April. Even so, its momentum has struggled to stay bullish in the last 4-5 weeks

The price action on the 12-hour chart revealed a bullish structure in place. The swing low at $1.09 was critical in maintaining the bullish structure. Similarly, the $1.12-$1.24 region has acted as a demand zone since mid-April.

While this area has kept sellers at bay, market conviction has been lacking. The spot trading volume in EDGE has eroded away after the mid-April spike. Since then, flat volumes and aggressive sell-offs in the $1.4-$1.5 supply zone have denied a bullish continuation.

Using the EDGE token’s volume indicator trends, we can see that the bears have a slight advantage. While the OBV was on an uptrend but flat in May, the A/D and CMF indicators favored the sellers.

The RSI’s momentum indicator also showed that bears had the upper hand.

Tying the clues together, it can be seen that EDGE has been trading in a range. The $1.1 support zone is important, as is the $1.5 supply zone.

A breakout past either area would be likely to set up the next impulse price leg. Until then, traders can expect the range to be sustained

The posts claim that court documents from the lawsuit, filed by investor Machi Big Brother, mention “Zachary Wolk, residing in Kingsland, Texas.” It is further alleged that identity matching was then carried out through open source research (OSINT), including swimming race data, high school records, and local news archives.

The anonymous account also claimed that ZachXBT’s behavior had changed in recent months, that he had adopted a more aggressive and “untouchable” profile. The post alleged that ZachXBT had previously placed bounties on information about certain individuals, which could pose legal problems under US law.

Another focus of the allegations was ZachXBT’s financial relationships with certain projects and companies. The post stated that approximately $1.1 million was raised through a “community advocacy fund” established in 2023. It was claimed that prominent figures in the industry, such as Changpeng Zhao, Justin Sun, Jesse Powell, and Sandeep Nailwal, were among the donors.
