From a technical standpoint, the market is officially rolling into Q2. However, to see where it’s headed, we need to check where it’s been. Q1 closed with the total crypto market cap down nearly 21%, extending losses from Q4 2025 when it fell by about 24%.

In just six months, crypto has technically lost over $1.5 trillion. Bitcoin [BTC] hasn’t been spared either, making up 60% of those outflows – A sign that it’s lagging compared to other volatile assets. Backing this, the XAU/BTC ratio closed Q1 up almost 40%, underlining BTC’s relative weakness versus gold.

In short, despite recent optimism around Bitcoin’s “relative” resilience, Q1 revealed crypto was still the weakest performer across asset classes. Against this backdrop, a recent post by U.S President Donald Trump couldn’t have come at a more critical time.

In it, President Trump sounded a warning about a potentially severe attack on Iran’s infrastructure, putting ceasefire expectations on hold. However, more than the content, it’s the “timing” of the post that’s sparked a full-blown market frenzy. Notably, the U.S stock market will remain closed over the weekend, which means the post has temporarily prevented a liquidation cascade.

The real momentum shift, however, is in oil prices. Even before the post, oil had been rattling global markets. Now, the added geopolitical risk layers in more uncertainty. Traders and investors are likely to react as soon as the market reopens, making Monday a highly volatile session for equities. The spotlight, however, falls on crypto – Is a massive bloodbath looming?

With the cryptocurrency market slightly recovering, Ethereum is starting to showcase upside potential again. Meanwhile, a striking trend is emerging across the ETH market as investors are choosing to hold on to their coins rather than trade them off.

Leon Waidmann, a market expert and head of research at Lisk, has outlined a notable shift in investors’ sentiment and behavior, especially across cryptocurrency exchanges in the space. Even with persistent drawdowns in price, ETH is leaving trading platforms at a substantial rate not seen in years.

In the report shared on the X platform, Waidmann stated that the ETH balance on crypto exchanges has recently hit an all-time low after examining the Ethereum Percent Balance on Exchanges metric. The significant wave of withdrawal implies that more holders are shifting their holdings into long-term storage or private wallets, effectively decreasing the amount of ETH that is available for trading on these platforms.

When coins are leaving exchanges, it often points to growing confidence among investors. While also tightening market liquidity, this development could play a key role in shaping and determining the next major price move for ETH.

USDC Exchange Inflow Has Hit The Highest Level In Months
As highlighted by CryptoQuant community analyst Maartunn in a new post on X, the Exchange Inflow recently observed a surge for Circle’s stablecoin, USDC. The “Exchange Inflow” here is an indicator that keeps track of the total amount of a given asset that’s being transferred to wallets connected to centralized exchanges.

Generally, one of the main reasons why investors deposit their tokens to these platforms is for selling-related purposes, so a spike in the metric can indicate elevated demand for swapping the cryptocurrency. In the case of assets like Bitcoin, this can naturally have a bearish effect on the price.

For a stablecoin like USDC, however, there is no such effect as its price is by definition stable around the $1 mark. That said, exchange inflows related to the asset can still matter for the wider sector.

Often, investors stash their capital away in the form of these fiat-tied tokens when they want to wait for an opportune moment to enter the volatile side. Once traders feel that the time is right, they deposit their stablecoins to exchanges, swapping them for Bitcoin or any digital asset of their choice. This shifting can naturally provide a buying boost to the target cryptocurrency.

As the chart below, shared by Maartunn, shows, the USDC Exchange Inflow has observed a massive spike during the past day, implying exchanges have received a large amount of the stablecoin.

Bitcoin’s market has been slipping into a quiet imbalance, one where price strength no longer reflects underlying network activity. Understandably, this raises some questions about what is really driving value.

At the time of writing, the RVTS (Realized Value Transaction Volume) Ratio had climbed towards 85 – Its highest level ever. When this ratio rises, it means that adjusted on-chain volume is shrinking, meaning fewer coins may be moving relative to valuation.

In effect, it implied that the price might be holding firm, even as network usage fades.

This may be happening because market structure has shifted. Liquidity and derivatives now dominate price discovery, while spot-driven activity has weakened. As a result, capital circulates off-chain, reducing the need for on-chain settlement.

Historically, similar spikes above 60 in 2022 appeared during low-participation phases, often near cycle bottoms. However, the press time move seemed to exceed those levels – Evidence of deeper structural apathy.

Still, such a compression often precedes accumulation. As weaker hands exit and activity rebuilds, the imbalance can be expected to resolve itself. Until then, Bitcoin [BTC] is likely to reflect a market sustained by positioning, not participation.

Bitcoin holds firm despite weakening network activity

Bitcoin, at press time, was trading in a quiet zone where price stability was contrary to muted participation, creating uncertainty around what this phase represents. It was valued at close to $66,940, well above $65,800 – A sign that the support level remains intact.

At the same time, while the narrow $66,569–$67,200 range hinted at consolidation, it also alluded to limited conviction. This happens when activity stays compressed, even though the Spot Taker CVD has continued to rise and point to underlying buy pressure.

The Dubai-based digital finance infrastructure firm, a subsidiary of ARCB Group, is positioning Malaysia as a key hub for regional development.

The expansion comes at a time when Southeast Asia is experiencing increasing adoption of digital financial systems, supported by a growing fintech ecosystem and evolving regulatory frameworks.

ARCB Venture Labs stated that Malaysia’s combination of market maturity, regulatory progress, and regional connectivity makes it a strategic entry point for long-term infrastructure development.

“Our entry into Malaysia reflects a deliberate and long-term strategy,” said Dr. Chaskar, representing ARCB Group.

“We see strong potential in the region to support the development of structured and secure digital financial systems.”

Unlike conventional market participants, ARCB Venture Labs focuses on building foundational infrastructure rather than offering standalone products or short-term solutions.

Centrifuge’s announcement to expand to Base Chain, where it allowed the trading of tokenized S&P 500 as a new asset class, drove the rally. Is tokenization the main driver of CFG? Can bulls keep up with the pace?

CFG price bounces off KEY retracement level

The charts clearly showed the current bullish momentum, with CFG rallying from a low of $0.14 to a daily high of $0.172. The altcoin lost its rising trendline support on the 31st of March but seemed to have ended the correction phase.

CFG bounced off the zone between 0.618 and 0.786 Fibonacci Retracement levels. To be specific, the altcoin respected the optimal zone at the 0.75 Fib level but seems to be seeing rejection around $0.17.

Holding through the premium zone, which is above the 0.5 Fib level, the altcoin increases the potential to hit $0.1857. However, this zone has sparked bearish reversals three times as CFG makes the fourth attempt.

Interestingly, bulls are showing strength, though it’s weak. The MACD lines have had a crossover confirming a short-term trend shift in the altcoin’s price action.

That puts $0.1857 as a potential reversal zone unless bulls can gather enough momentum past the resistance. This resistance zone was 18% away from $0.1561, which was a discount area considering the rally that started on the 23rd of March.

Growth in Centrifuge’s TVL, revenue, and holders
