Solana price entered a long-term accumulation zone between $70 and $50.

Support near $62.66 remains critical for short-term price direction.

Solana price is drawing attention after entering a long-term accumulation zone identified by market analyst Crypto Patel. The analyst stated that he has started accumulating SOL within the $70 to $50 range while maintaining a multi-year outlook. At press time, Solana price traded at $64.86, up 3.24% over the past 24 hours.

Solana Price Enters Strategic Accumulation Range

Crypto Patel described the current market area as a long-term accumulation zone for Solana price. According to his analysis, bear markets often create opportunities for investors with longer investment horizons.

The analyst pointed to Solana’s previous market cycle, where the asset delivered substantial gains after an extended accumulation phase. Based on historical performance, he outlined long-term targets between $500 and $1,000, while emphasizing that market conditions remain uncertain.

Solana price currently trades near the middle of the identified accumulation range. Traders are closely monitoring whether support levels continue to hold as volatility remains elevated across the crypto market.

Technical indicators show that the $62.66 level, which aligns with the 50% Fibonacci retracement, remains a critical support zone. Holding above this area could allow Solana price to revisit the $67 to $69

Forward Industries, the biggest Solana treasury company, has resumed selling some of its SOL. As the asset dipped below $70, the viability of treasuries is once again questioned. 

Forward Industries deposited 455,784 SOL to exchanges after a month of inactivity. In the past day, the company made two large transfers, one to Coinbase Prime and one unstaking transaction from the Sanctum bridge for 500K SOL.

The recent slide of SOL to as low as $66 triggered the need to reassess the treasury’s needs. The sale happened as SOL sank by 19.3% since the beginning of June, reflecting the broader negative sentiment on the crypto market.

Forward Industries still holds 3.787M SOL in its self-custodied wallet. The SOL was sent to a Coinbase Prime deposit. On-chain data shows the company also continued with moving another 500K SOL from its staking operations, but so far, the second tranche has not been sent to an exchange. 

Are SOL treasury companies viable?

The recent treasury moves once again test the viability of DAT companies. In the case of Solana, a total of 20 entities hold SOL, staking a bit more than half the amount. Around 2.94% of the SOL supply is locked in treasuries, or around 18M tokens.  

Solana is still one of the most active networks, with 8M weekly users. The network produces 2.79M in weekly fees, and is still in the top 5 of the most productive chains. Despite this, the market price of SOL undermines the reserves. Forward Industries acquired SOL at $232.08, near its all-time highs, leaving the company with around $1.3B in unrealized losses.

Bitcoin traders have spent the past week bracing for the wrong kind of surprise, watching rate-cut bets evaporate as a run of firm labor data pushed the odds of a Federal Reserve hike by year-end toward 85% and dragged the 10-year Treasury yield up near 4.5%.

Understandably, it dominates the screens, given how much of the past two years of price action has hinged on the cost of money.

But now, a separate arm of the US government is preparing to tighten financial conditions through a channel that comes with no press conference and needs no policy vote.

The US Treasury intends to rebuild its cash balance toward roughly $900 billion by the end of June, and refilling that account means drawing cash out of the same financial system that risk assets lean on for fuel.

Supporters of digital assets argue that short-term price movements are driven by liquidity conditions and market positioning, rather than changes to the long-term investment case for Bitcoin and Ethereum.

Bitcoin’s Safe-Haven Status is once again under scrutiny after gold outperformed both Bitcoin and Ether during the first week of June. Market data showed investors favoring traditional defensive assets, with gold gaining nearly 1%, while the two largest cryptocurrencies traded lower despite a relatively stable backdrop for equities.

The divergence highlights how digital assets and traditional stores of value can respond differently even when broader financial markets remain resilient.

Gold Outpaces Crypto Assets

Gold rose approximately 0.92% during the session, extending its strength as investors continued to seek protection against economic and geopolitical uncertainty. The precious metal benefited from its long-standing role as a reserve asset and portfolio hedge, a position it has maintained across multiple market cycles.

Meanwhile, the S&P 500 advanced 0.41%, indicating that investors remained willing to maintain exposure to equities despite ongoing macroeconomic concerns. The combination of rising stocks and stronger gold suggests that market participants balanced growth opportunities with a degree of caution.
