Momentum is building in Washington for the long-awaited CLARITY Act, with JPMorgan (JPM) pointing to signs that negotiations may be nearing a breakthrough.
JPMorgan said discussions among lawmakers and regulators suggest the legislation is close to completion, with only a small number of issues still unresolved in a Wednesday report.

One senior policy official noted that the list of contentious items has narrowed from roughly a dozen to just “2–3 issues,” while debate around stablecoin rewards is now “in a good place.”

According to the analysis, the current Dogecoin up and down movement suggests the appearance of a Thin Cloud Behavior. As Trader Tardigrade explains, the Dogecoin price movements through this thin cloud suggests that the meme coin is not seeing a lot of movement. This means that there is nothing that is currently blocking the price from moving. But the interesting part of this is that the price is not blocked in either direction. Thus, Dogecoin could push in any direction from here. South Korea to pilot blockchain-based deposit tokens for government spending

South Korea’s Ministry of Finance and Economy is launching a new pilot project to substitute government expense credit cards with deposit tokens.

The ministry expects to fully implement the pilot project in the fourth quarter of this year.

South Korea's Ministry of Finance and Economy is launching a new pilot project to test blockchain-based deposit tokens for expenses related to official duties.

Currently, government departments execute official business spending and other related expenses with government-issued credit or debit cards, according to the official press release. 

Card usage during late hours or on non-business days would require an extra administrative process where officials submit and review reports that justify the irregular spending.

The ministry said the experiment is expected to resolve inefficiencies in the existing card-based system, leveraging the transparency of blockchain technology.

"When processing expenses with deposit tokens, we can pre-set allowable usage times and permitted categories of spending, enhancing the overall transparency," the translated press release said, adding that the intermediary-free payment structure can reduce the burden of fees for small businesses.

The ministry said it will start selecting operators for the project and work closely with relevant agencies and businesses to finalize the scope of the experiment. It aims to launch a full implementation of the project in the fourth quarter of this year, centering around Sejong-si, the city planned as the administrative capital of the country.

If successful, the pilot may be expanded to other official businesses of the government, the ministry said.

Pakistan Ends Bitcoin and Crypto Banking Ban, Opens Financial System to Licensed Firms

Pakistan has lifted its 2018 crypto banking ban, allowing licensed firms access to banking services under strict regulation while still prohibiting banks from directly holding or trading digital assets.

Pakistan’s central bank has formally reversed its long-standing ban on banking services for cryptocurrency firms, allowing regulated banks to open accounts for licensed virtual asset service providers (VASPs) under a new legal framework.

The decision, announced in a circular by the State Bank of Pakistan and reported by Reuters, follows the enactment of the Virtual Assets Act 2026 and marks the country’s first structured move to integrate digital asset businesses into its formal financial system.

“This is a foundational step in bringing virtual assets into the formal financial system of Pakistan,” said Bilal bin Saqib, chairman of the Pakistan Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority, in an official statement.

Under the new rules, banks can provide basic financial services to crypto firms, but must first verify that the entities are licensed by PVARA. Strict safeguards have been put in place to mitigate financial risks and ensure compliance with anti-money laundering (AML) and counter-terrorism financing standards.

Banks are required to conduct full due diligence, maintain updated risk profiles for VASP clients, and report suspicious transactions to regulators.

They must also ensure that client funds are held in segregated, non-interest-bearing accounts denominated in Pakistani rupees. The commingling of customer and company funds is strictly prohibited.

Ethereum is testing a key support area while traders watch whether buyers can hold the latest pullback. At the same time, resistance levels at $2,400 and $2,665 keep the upside path crowded.

Ethereum Pullback Puts $2,222 to $2,036 Support Zone in Focus

Ethereum may be entering a wave two pullback, with chart analyst Man of Bitcoin pointing to a support area between $2,222 and $2,036. The setup mirrors a similar view on Bitcoin and suggests $ETH could face more short term downside before any stronger bullish continuation appears.

The 4 hour chart shows Ethereum trading near $2,311 after pulling back from the recent local high around the $2,380 area. The analyst marked the current move as a possible corrective decline, with Fibonacci support levels stacked below price. Those levels include $2,222, $2,166, $2,111, and $2,036, which together form the main support zone for the expected wave two retracement.

At the same time, the chart keeps a broader bullish structure on the table as long as $ETH holds that lower area. A white projected path shows the pullback finishing before a possible push higher in a larger wave three move. However, if Ethereum loses the $2,036 level, the chart opens room for a deeper drop toward lower downside targets shown near $1,755 and $1,387.

For now, the analysis suggests Ethereum remains in a correction phase rather than a confirmed breakdown. The key question is whether buyers step in between $2,222 and $2,036. If they do, the pullback could stay within a bullish wave structure. If not, downside pressure may grow and push $ETH into a much deeper retracement.l
