Bitcoin Price Has Not Reached Its Real Bottom, And A ‘Big Storm’ Is Coming


While others argue that the Bitcoin price has already found its bottom and could be gearing up for a bullish reversal, one crypto analyst has rejected these claims, expecting further downside instead. According to Marmot, a crypto expert on X, Bitcoin has not yet reached its true price floor. He warns that the flagship cryptocurrency could crash below $45,000 before any sustainable recovery to the upside takes shape.

Bitcoin Price Action Mirrors 2022 Bear Market

In a recent X post, Marmot shared a bearish analysis of Bitcoin, comparing its current bear market to past cycles. The analyst noted that Bitcoin’s recent price action closely mirrors patterns seen in the 2022 bear market.

Notably, Bitcoin has already fallen more than 40% from its all-time high above $126,000 in October 2025. Since that peak, the flagship cryptocurrency has trended downward, recording brief price rallies, which Marmot has described as “fake recoveries.” These upside moves temporarily lure investors into the market before prices reverse sharply downwards, leading to losses.

To support his bearish outlook, Marmot has divided Bitcoin’s current bear market into three phases. The first phase was completed after the cryptocurrency crashed by over 54%, now trading at around above $74,000. According to him, the market is now in the second bear phase, a period characterized by repeated bull traps, fakeouts, and continued volatility designed to wipe out short-term investors.

The most recent bull trap was observed after the US-Iran ceasefire announcement, which sent Bitcoin surging briefly above $73,000. However, this rally proved short-lived as the price quickly reversed toward $71,000 before rebounding again above $74,000 at the time of writing.

A South Korean payment firm has teamed up with Avalanche to create a crypto-like Layer‐1 blockchain tailored specifically for payments.

A Crypto-Spin For TradFi In South Korea

TradFi continues its race to not be left behind DeFi innovation. This time, however, a traditional payments giant most recent move is not aimed at just integrating with crypto, but it’s actually spinning up its own chain intended at real‐world payments.

According to The Block, NHN KCP, one of South Korea’s biggest payment processors, has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Avalanche developer Ava Labs to build its own payments‐focused Layer 1.

Avalanche is a high‐performance Layer 1 blockchain platform designed for smart contracts and custom blockchains, with near‐instant transaction finality and low fees.

The planned L1 will be built via Ava Cloud and optimized for real‐world payments: sub‐second payment authorization, on‐chain transaction data encryption, and customizable merchant payment infrastructure. NHN KCP and Ava Labs want to plug in tokenized deposits, multi‐stablecoin settlement, and cross‐border payments on top of that base layer.

Jun-seok Park, CEO of NHN KCP, said in a statement:

This agreement is highly significant as it combines NHN KCP’s industry-leading payment operational expertise with world-class blockchain technology to derive an innovative model that can be immediately applied to real-world business.

The pair intend to test whether the project is technically viable via a proof‐of‐concept, and to broaden their ties with financial and payment firms worldwide.

Market analyst Sam Daodu outlined a $75,000 to $80,000 range as the target if new talks produce even a temporary agreement, and a path toward $100,000 by year-end if a full deal materializes and oil returns toward pre-war levels near $65 to $70 per barrel.

Bitcoin, Ethereum, and other major cryptocurrencies rebounded late Monday in a "classic risk-on snapback," as traders continue to digest the protracted U.S.-Iran conflict, analysts said.

Bitcoin climbed 4.9% over the past 24 hours to $74,414 as of 12:55 a.m. ET Tuesday, offsetting weekend losses, according to The Block's crypto price page. The world's largest cryptocurrency fell to a low of around $70,600 earlier in the day.

Ether jumped 7.9% to $2,365, while XRP added 3.2% to $1.37, and Solana gained 4.9% to $85.97. The GMCI 30 index, which tracks the performance of the top 30 cryptocurrencies, rose 4.9%.

The crypto market rebound came alongside a broader rally in U.S. stocks, with crypto-related equities closing higher on Monday. Circle jumped 12%, Bullish rose 7.5%, and Coinbase gained 3.9%.
