Consolidation Phase Near Decision Point Gold remained inside a six-day range during Thursday's session, as it tries to determine the next direction. Either a continuation of the bearish correction with a turn back down, or an upside breakout and signs of a bullish reversal appears most likely. A confluence resistance zone has been tested during formation of a relatively tight range, with a low of $4,638 and a high of $4,773. That range is from Tuesday, and it is outside the prior four days and the two days after. This highlights a compressed consolidation phase where price is coiling near key decision levels following recent directional swings.

Hopes for Bitcoin's "massive catch-up" to stocks persist

Trading circles are not without their more optimistic takes.

Cryptic Trades predicts that $BTC/USD will follow in the footsteps of US stock markets, which continue to post new all-time highs.

“$BTC is going to play a massive catch-up in the upcoming weeks,” it summarized.

Examining the Bollinger Bands volatility indicator, meanwhile, trader Cai Soren said that bulls “stepped in instantly” to defend support.

Earlier, Cointelegraph noted bullish signals from the bands, which even caused their creator, John Bollinger, to act.

“As long as support keeps holding, momentum still looks strong for continuation higher,” Soren forecast.

Dogecoin has 'crazy things on the horizon' as ecosystem grows beyond Elon Musk, says DogeOS founder



DogeOS founder and CEO Jordan Jefferson believes Dogecoin's dependence on Elon Musk for attention and momentum is fading as the memecoin's ecosystem matures.

"There is absolutely no question that Dogecoin would not be as big as it is without Elon kind of going in and supporting it," Jefferson said during an interview with The Block's Gareth Jenkinson at the Consensus Miami conference.

DogeOS is a major advocate for the Dogecoin ($DOGE) ecosystem and the developer of an application layer built using the memecoin's network. In May 2025, DogeOS said it raised $6.9 million in a round led by Polychain Capital.

Jefferson recalled how Dogecoin hit an all-time high after the billionaire mentioned Dogecoin on Saturday Night Live in 2021. But now he looks at recent developments and the memecoin's growth and is encouraged about its future with or without Musk's support.

A crypto analyst has identified a Bullish Divergence on a three-day Dogecoin (DOGE) price chart that is pointing toward a fresh breakout to new highs. He believes that the emergence of this formation suggests that Dogecoin could be gearing up for a massive 500% price rally. However, his optimistic forecast does not stop there, as the analyst projects an even higher price target above $1 once that first target is reached.

Dogecoin Bullish Divergence Signals Move To $1.25

Javon Marks, a well-known crypto analyst on X, has shared a new analysis for Dogecoin, predicting two bullish targets that are drawing attention from investors and traders. According to the analyst, Dogecoin is now responding even more positively to a key Bullish Divergence that has been holding up well on the Moving Average Convergence Divergence (MACD).

Marks’ accompanying chart shows that this divergence has been forming since 2025, taking enough time and strength to develop. Usually, when the MACD indicator signals a Bullish Divergence, it suggests that a cryptocurrency that has spent a long time declining or trading sideways has quietly been building significant momentum beneath the surface.

Given that strong foundation, Marks predicts that DOGE’s recent recovery near $0.10 could be the early signal of a much greater move to the upside. He suggests the breakout is pointing toward a staggering price rally of about 500%, which, from current prices, could catapult DOGE straight toward $0.6533. This bullish level puts the meme going just 11.4% below its all-time high of roughly $0.73 set in May 2021.

Once Dogecoin reaches $0.6533, Marks projects an even bigger and stronger price surge toward $1.25. He noted that $0.6533 will likely be the resistance that opens up the path for Dogecoin

Bitcoin ($BTC) holds above $81,000 as short-term momentum strengthens.

Weak network growth signals cautious market participation.

$BTC faces major resistance at $89,500.

Bitcoin has climbed above $81,000, extending its monthly recovery and testing its highest trading range in roughly three months.

At press time, $BTC was trading around $81,467 after gaining 5.2% over the past seven days and 17.6% over the last 30 days.

The latest move places Bitcoin in a critical technical zone, with several underlying metrics suggesting the rally is still developing under cautious conditions rather than broad market conviction.

Network activity and derivatives participation remain muted

While Bitcoin’s spot price has improved, on-chain data point to weaker user participation than during previous major rallies.

Active addresses and transaction activity have not increased at the same pace as price, signalling that retail demand remains limited.

This divergence between price and blockchain activity often suggests that current momentum is being supported more by institutional demand and large investors than by widespread organic adoption.

Notably, institutional participation through spot Bitcoin ETFs has surged, with billions in capital inflows helping stabilise prices above key support zones.

However, derivatives market participation has remained relatively restrained compared to previous breakout cycles, with lower speculative leverage and softer futures activity indicating traders are cautious.

In addition, the Crypto Fear & Greed Index currently reads 50, placing sentiment in neutral territory.

This reflects a market that is neither euphoric nor fearful, reinforcing the idea that Bitcoin’s recent strength has not yet triggered widespread speculative enthusia

Data from the derivatives platform CoinGlass reveals that a whale wallet address (0x8def9f5) has opened short positions worth $72.32 million across multiple markets, including crypto and tech stocks such as Bitcoin, Hyperliquid, TSLA, and NVDA, among others.
The report shows that this whale is heavily positioned in crypto, with $47.78 million in Hyperliquid, $12.37 million in Bitcoin, and $73.41K in Toncoin.
