HYPE rallied after Coinbase and Circle committed to Hyperliquid's AQAv2 upgrade, bringing USDCs liquidity together with the protocol-aligned yield model pioneered by USDH.
Coinbase and Circle's commitment to Hyperliquid's AQAv2 upgrade sent HYPE up to roughly $45 on May 14, a deal that makes USDC the platform's aligned quote asset and directs the vast majority of reserve-yield revenue back to the protocol.
The rally reflected traders reading the announcement as institutional validation of the protocol-aligned stablecoin model pioneered by Native Markets' USDH on Hyperliquid.

STRC is helping Michael Saylor's firm keep buying Bitcoin, but the preferred-stock loop is adding dividend costs that could weigh on shareholders.
Bitcoin has been seeing recurring mid-month strength this year, and it is becoming harder to separate it from Strategy's (formerly MicroStrategy) expanding preferred-stock machine. The funding channel is helping the company continue to buy the flagship digital asset while adding a growing layer of cost to its balance sheet.
Research firm K33 has tied the pattern to Strategy's perpetual preferred stock, STRC, which has become a key source of liquidity for the world's largest corporate Bitcoin holder.

Solana is seeing renewed interest from institutional investors, who appear to have flipped bullish on SOL again. This follows the record inflows that the SOL ETFs have recorded since the start of this month, which have pushed the altcoin to a four-month high.

Solana Sees Fresh Inflows From Institutional Investors
According to SoSoValue data, Solana ETFs have recorded a total net inflow of $90 million since the start of the month, higher than their net inflows over the past three months. Notably, these funds saw total inflows of $26 million on May 11, which is the highest daily net inflow since February 25.

The Solana ETFs now boast total net assets of $1.02 billion, which represents almost 2% of SOL’s market cap. Meanwhile, renewed inflows into these funds pushed SOL to a four-month high of around $97, with the altcoin now eyeing a push toward the psychological $100 level. However, derivatives data paint a mixed signal about the sentiment towards SOL at the moment.

CoinGlass data show that the long/short ratio is currently below 1, suggesting that more traders remain bearish on Solana. However, SOL’s derivative trading volume has surged by 33%, reaching $12.81 billion. Options volume is up 116%, reaching $37.75 million, while the options open interest has climbed 22% to $125 million.

It is worth noting that Solana and the broader crypto market remain under bearish pressure as U.S.-Iran peace talks appear to have stalled. This has raised concerns that the war could begin again, which is bearish for crypto prices. At the same time, recent inflation data show that inflation is steadily rising due to the war in Iran.

On May 14, the panel approved the legislation on bipartisan lines, sending the legislation to the full Senate floor. The successful markup caps ten months of painstaking negotiations and represents a monumental shift toward establishing a clear federal framework for digital assets.

The supply of Bitcoin ($BTC) on all cryptocurrency exchanges has declined to an 8-year low, amid notable demand from conviction investors.

As of May 15, Bitcoin’s supply on all crypto exchanges hovered around 5.623% of the asset’s total supply, according to analytics from Santiment, analyzed by Finbold. Consequently, approximately 1,180,830 $BTC, valued at about $95.2 billion at press time, sits on exchanges.

The notable decline in $BTC supply on all crypto exchanges can be attributed to significant demand from conviction buyers. Furthermore, this group of investors has added $BTC worth $243 billion year-to-date, bringing their total to nearly 4 million coins, as Finbold reported.

The low supply of the flagship coin on exchanges could imply a rising demand for self-custodial services. Furthermore, crypto exchanges are prone to several risks, including attacks and insolvency.

As the United States leads other jurisdictions in crypto regulatory certainty, as evidenced by the traction of the Clarity Act, a proposed U.S. federal law to legalize crypto assets, the ongoing supply shock could escalate. Moreover, more institutional investors have been seeking exposure in Bitcoin to diversify their portfolios.

With $BTC supply on crypto exchanges at a multi-year low, the expected increase in demand could trigger a historic supply shock. The growing demand for Bitcoin from institutional investors may not be quenched by the dwindling supply on cryptocurrency exchanges.

As a result, Bitcoin price is well positioned to rebound towards its all-time high (ATH) and kickstart a fresh parabolic rally.
