Galaxy projects that 60% to 70% of stablecoin growth will originate offshore. That means the majority of new capital flowing into $GENIUS-compliant stablecoins comes from outside the U.S. banking system entirely. It is not from domestic depositors switching banks for better yields.

Thorn stated the conclusion plainly. “Imported deposits from offshore will exceed domestic deposit migration roughly 2:1.” Consequently, that single finding dismantles the banking industry’s primary argument that stablecoins will drain domestic deposits and destabilize U.S. banks.

Beyond the sourcing question, each newly minted $GENIUS stablecoin is projected to generate approximately $0.32 in net U.S. credit expansion. When multiplied across the projected stablecoin market, the aggregate impact becomes significant. Galaxy’s base case projects $400 billion in stablecoin-related credit expansion by 2030. Meanwhile, the bull case reaches $1.2 trillion.

Established memecoins have remained relatively calm lately, with activity across whales and retail falling below expectations. For instance – CryptoQuant’s Spot Average Order size data for $DOGE highlighted a lack of both whale and retail activity across the market.Spot activity has remained neutral too, with participants largely stepping back from the market.

Despite weakness on the demand side though, $DOGE has exhibited some relative strength. Since reclaiming the $0.1-level, $DOGE has held firmly above this level and extended its reach to above $0.11. At press time, Dogecoin [$DOGE] was trading at $0.1107, up 3.5% on the daily charts.

Thanks to this upside, the memecoin effectively flipped the 100-day EMA, validating the uptrend’s strength.

Now, although memecoins like Dogecoin have recorded a fall in market activity recently, $DOGE buyers have slowly and sustainably returned across the board.On the spot side, the memecoin recorded negative Spot Inflows for five consecutive days. Over the last 24 hours, for instance, $102.7 million in $DOGE flowed out of exchanges, compared to $95.6 million in inflows.

As a result, the memecoin’ s Spot Netflows dropped to -$7.04 million – A clear sign of aggressive spot accumulation.

A similar position was evident in the Derivatives market at press time. The latest episode of upside volatility led to high liquidations, especially of short positions.

A total of $2.2 million worth of short positions were liquidated over the last 24 hours. To avoid liquidations, most market players flipped while others covered shorts, thus creating demand for Futures positions.

In fact, $608.5 million flowed into Futures positions compared to $577.2 million in inflows. As a result, Futures Netflows rose by 128% to $31.4 million – Confirming greater participation in Futures.

$1B exits Arbitrum, but ARB’s price keeps climbing higher – What’s next?

Arbitrum [$ARB] extended its bullish momentum over the past 24 hours, climbing 13% even as on-chain liquidity across the network continued to deteriorate.

While the broader crypto market has recently shifted toward a stronger risk-on environment, $ARB’s rally appears increasingly disconnected from underlying liquidity conditions.

Instead of being supported by fresh capital inflows into the ecosystem, the move is largely being driven by spot market demand and short-term accumulation activity.

That divergence now places the asset in a vulnerable position as it approaches a critical supply-heavy resistance zone that could determine whether the rally sustains or reverses.

On-chain liquidity weakens despite price growth

Arbitrum’s recent price expansion has not been matched by growth in key on-chain liquidity metrics. Both Total Value Locked (TVL) and stablecoin supply across the network have continued to decline, reflecting weakening capital participation within the ecosystem.

TVL, which tracks the total amount of assets locked across decentralized finance protocols on the network, often serves as a measure of investor confidence and ecosystem activity. Sustained declines typically indicate capital rotation away from the chain.

Since tje 18th of April, approximately $449 million has exited Arbitrum’s TVL. The scale of the outflow suggests that broader market conviction around the ecosystem remains fragile despite $ARB’s recent upside.

Data also showed TVL slipping by an additional 0.24% over the past 24 hours to roughly $1.57 billion at the time of writing.

Stablecoin liquidity has followed a similar trend. Since May 1, more than $1 billion in stablecoins has reportedly moved out of the Arbitrum network, highlighting a broader reduction in deployable capital across the chain
