Cardano is already being used by roughly 200 large companies in Germany through agentic AI deployments, even if those firms do not realize the blockchain is sitting underneath their stack, according to Cardano Foundation CEO Frederik Gregaard. The claim, made during an interview with Jane King on GBBC’s Markets on Chain series from the New York Stock Exchange published April 16, points to a version of blockchain adoption that is less visible to end users but potentially more embedded in enterprise infrastructure.

200 German Companies Use Cardano Without Even Knowing It

Gregaard framed the Cardano Foundation’s role as pushing blockchain into systems people use without necessarily recognizing it. “We have about 200 companies in Germany who live on agentic AI, fairly large companies, and they don’t even know they’re using Cardano as a security layer, as a digital identity layer and as an accountability layer,” he said. “Part of when you have, for instance, agentic AI who’s using data from two different databases, [is] ensuring that the agentic AI is who they say they are, that they have the data they claim without disclosing it, because we want privacy.”

That argument was central to Gregaard’s broader pitch: blockchain, in his view, is becoming an underlying trust and coordination layer for AI-driven systems rather than simply a rails story for tokens or payments. He described a model where users could interact with seamless consumer applications while Cardano handles provenance, identity and compliance in the background. The point was less about visible crypto branding than about infrastructure-level deployment.

Why are deadbeat stocks Oracle, Microsoft, and AMD suddenly the week’s best performers?

This week gave beaten-up stock names a strange new job. They stopped acting like laggards and started leading the screen. Oracle (NYSE: ORCL), Microsoft (NASDAQ: MSFT), and AMD (NASDAQ: AMD) came into Friday on track for huge weekly gains, the kind that reset charts and force traders to stop laughing at names they had written off.

Oracle rose 27% for the week, its best run since June 1999. AMD added 14% for the week, hit an all-time high on Thursday, and kept alive a 13-session winning streak that has pushed the shares up more than 42%.

Microsoft also climbed 14% in what is its best week since April 2015 after a brutal March quarter in which the software giant lost almost a quarter of its value, its worst quarter since 2008.

Tesla (NASDAQ: TSLA) gained about 15% this week after Elon Musk said on Wednesday that the company hit a key milestone on its AI5 chip.

Broadcom (NASDAQ: AVGO), Micron (NASDAQ: MU), and ON Semiconductor are each up about 30% so far in April. Marvell is up 41% this month. The iShares Expanded Tech-Software ETF, or IGV, is up about 14% week to date, which puts it on track for its best week since its record week in October 2001.

The SPDR Info Tech Fund, known as XLK, hit an all-time high on Friday for the first time since October 2025 and closed at a record level after 13 straight days of gains. That fund also logged its best week since April 2025.

MicroStrategy, the world's largest Bitcoin treasury firm, is back in profit as the lingering rally has pushed Bitcoin to surge past its one-month high.

On Friday, April 17, Arkham Intelligence firm shared data revealing that MicroStrategy's Bitcoin holdings have officially returned to a break-even point as Bitcoin sees a major price breakout.

While MicroStrategy's average accumulation price for Bitcoin still stands at about $75,577, the firm has finally exited its loss territory after breaking even on Bitcoin amid an ongoing price rally.

Following a rapid price surge, Bitcoin has reclaimed its previous highs, surging past $76,000 with a price increase of about 3% over the last 24 hours.

With Bitcoin's price rally, MicroStrategy's $BTC reserve has crossed into neutral territory while positioning for a profit zone.

This comes after the firm has endured an extended period of unrealized losses during previous market downturns that persisted for several months.

Despite the massive unrealized losses faced by the company, Michael Saylor has continued to double down on his Bitcoin purchases, massively expanding the firm's holdings.

While it had accumulated large $BTC tokens during the recent volatility phase, the firm has purchased the majority of its holdings for lower prices, positioning it for bigger gains as Bitcoin eyes a major price breakout.
