Big Bull Tom Lee Explains: “Above This Level in Bitcoin Will Start a New Bull Race!”Tom Lee, founder of Fundstrat and head of BitMine, the largest Ethereum company, has made new statements regarding Bitcoin.

Tom Lee stated that he is very optimistic about Ethereum (ETH), but expects a cautious rise in Bitcoin ($BTC).

Speaking at the Consensus 2026 event in Miami, Tom Lee suggested that the Bitcoin bear market may be coming to an end.

Lee’s analysis shows that signals of a trend reversal are emerging.

According to Tom Lee, if $BTC closes May above $76,000, the bear market will end and a new bull market will begin.

“Bitcoin is emerging from its downward trend that went from $126,000 last October to $60,000 this February.”

Bitcoin recorded consecutive monthly gains in March and April. It also rose by approximately 5% in May.

There has never been a time when $BTC closed higher for three consecutive months during a bear market.

At this point, if $BTC closes above $76,000 this month, it means the bear market is definitely over.”

More than $7.2 million has been donated in support of these candidates.

Stablecoin card spend is growing 100% year over year, Rain exec saysStablecoin-based cards could soon account for double-digit percentages of all cards in some Latin American markets, John Timoney, head of strategic partnerships at Rain, a payments infrastructure platform, said.

Retail stablecoin card spend grew about 105% to 106% over the past year, Timoney said during a panel at Consensus Miami 2026. Cards are physical or virtual, allowing users to spend stablecoins such as tether and USD Coin (USDC) directly from a digital wallet for daily purchases.

Rain provides stablecoin infrastructure for card issuers and recently became a Mastercard Principal Member, allowing it to offer credit and prepaid cards on the Mastercard network. Rain and Mastercard are also exploring on-chain settlement for some card program flows using regulated stablecoins.

The company is not trying to replace card networks, Timoney said. It is trying to make stablecoin balances usable through existing networks that already reach merchants globally.

“The card networks over decades have rolled up hundreds of millions of merchants,” Timoney said. “Rain explicitly did not want to reinvent the wheel.”

Good news, Builders Are Choosing Solana over Ethereum

The mechanism is not complicated. Solana processed 25.3 billion transactions in Q1 2026, 125 times Ethereum’s volume over the same period.

When speed and cost efficiency are the primary variables for real-world financial applications, the math makes the decision.

Ben Nadareski, CEO and cofounder of Solstice, a DeFi protocol built on Solana, stated the case plainly: “The transactions are happening on Solana. Activity moved to where the cost and speed make sense.”

Ethereum’s pivot to a rollup-centric roadmap, the L2 dilution effect, has fragmented the developer experience across Base, Arbitrum, Optimism, and dozens of smaller chains.

Each L2 requires context-switching, separate tooling, and divided liquidity. Solana’s monolithic, integrated architecture keeps talent and capital focused on a single execution environment.

That is the integrated chain thesis, and the developer data confirms it is winning.

The hobbyist layer is doing real work. As Nadareski put it: “The hobbyist layer ships vault wrappers, yield aggregators, leveraged loops, and UX layers around primitives like eUSX or USDC. The legos pile up.” Institutional tooling is maturing in parallel.

“The custody side is integrating Solana faster than it integrated Ethereum five years ago because the institutional demand is louder and clearer,” Nadareski said.

The Solana Foundation’s recent infrastructure partnerships are accelerating that institutional onboarding curve. Developer growth alone does not flip a network’s institutional posture – but developer growth at this velocity, combined with custody integration and transaction volume dominance, does.
