XRP and Bitcoin Price Prediction After Islamabad Talks Collapse: What Happens Next?
The Islamabad peace talks between the U.S. and Iran broke down on April 12 after 21 hours of negotiations, with both sides blaming each other for the failure. It was the first face-to-face meeting between the two countries since 1979, and it ended with Vice President Vance saying Iran refused to commit to giving up its nuclear program. Hours later, President Trump ordered a U.S. naval blockade of the Strait of Hormuz, and oil prices jumped back above $100.
Bitcoin (CRYPTO: BTC) dropped about 2% to around $71,000 and XRP (CRYPTO: XRP) fell to $1.33. But the selloff was smaller than most expected. The Bitcoin price is still above where it was before the ceasefire was announced on April 7, and the market didn’t panic the way it did when the war started in late February. 
With the ceasefire set to expire around April 22, the Senate returning today with the CLARITY Act on deck, and the FOMC meeting on April 28-29, the next two weeks could define where both XRP and Bitcoin head for the rest of Q2.

Bitcoin (CRYPTO: BTC) dropped about 2% to around $71,000 and XRP (CRYPTO: XRP) fell to $1.33. But the selloff was smaller than most expected. The Bitcoin price is still above where it was before the ceasefire was announced on April 7, and the market didn't panic the way it did when the war started in late February.

$SOL trades at $82.33 on April 13, up 0.51%, holding just below the 0.382 Fib at $82.50 as spot ETF inflows return and Solana treasury stocks continue collapsing with no floor confirmed yet.

$SOL 4H Chart: 0.382 Fib At $82.50 And SAR At $85.86 Are The Two Levels To Watch

The 4H chart shows a Fibonacci retracement from the February low at $67.61 to the swing high at $106.59, with price sitting just below the 0.382 level at $82.50. The descending channel from the March high continues to compress price, upper boundary near $88.00, lower boundary rising toward $78.00.

The SAR at $85.86 sits above as the next resistance after $82.50. The CMF at -0.19 keeps money flow negative, meaning buyers have not taken control despite the small bounce. A 4H close above $82.50 and then $85.86 opens the 0.5 Fib at $87.10, then the 0.618 at $91.70. Below, the 0.236 Fib at $76.81 is the next floor, with the February low at $67.61 as the line below that.

Bitcoin mining has grown steadily more centralized over time, while artificial intelligence may be moving the other way, according to Galaxy Research head Alex Thorn.

Thorn noted that BTC mining started with individuals running software on personal computers but has since shifted to industrial-scale operations requiring ASIC hardware and large energy infrastructure. AI, by contrast, began in centralized data clusters and may decentralize as open-source models become lighter and cheaper to run locally. "If local models keep getting smaller, cheaper, and more efficient, AI may become increasingly personal and on-device," he said.

The divergence matters for crypto's foundational promise. Thorn said that if BTC mining continues to concentrate among fewer, larger operators, it could raise concerns about the network's long-term resilience to political or regulatory shocks.

Crypto exchange KuCoin reported on Friday that mining BTC has become increasingly unviable in parts of the United States, with costs exceeding $100,000 per coin in some regions due to rising energy prices. This is driving hash rate toward lower-cost jurisdictions, with Paraguay and Ethiopia emerging as leading destinations because of surplus hydroelectric power.

KuCoin said this geographic shift could strengthen the network by making it less dependent on any single country's political or environmental conditions. Spreading mining infrastructure across continents reduces concentration risk even as the overall industry consolidates around industrial-scale players.

On the AI side, edge computing is the primary driver of potential decentralization.

Wall Street remains deeply bullish on Strategy, even as many of the same banks benefit from the stock sales, helping fund its Bitcoin buying spree. That overlap does not prove misconduct, but it does raise a harder question about whether the market’s loudest optimism is being reinforced by the fees attached to it.

Strategy is one of the most aggressively promoted stocks on Wall Street, with a consensus “Strong Buy” rating and an average analyst price target that implies a 155% upside from recent prices.

That's nearly double the implied upside for any other large-cap name in America. It's also, by a wide margin, the single largest issuer of new stock on any US exchange, having raised an estimated $50 billion in roughly 18 months and paid around $274 million in fees along the way.

But the companies setting and publishing those bullish targets, and the companies profiting from that issuance pipeline overlap so much that it threatens to turn into a very serious conflict of interest.

The question we have to ask isn't whether anyone is breaking the law, because nobody is, at least for now. It's whether the incentive structure around Strategy has become so tightly wound that Wall Street's enthusiasm and Wall Street's compensation have merged into a single, very bullish, but unjustified emotion.
