It is not looking good for Bitcoin (BTC) here. While it has dropped 5% in the past seven days, a recent discovery suggests that bears are just regaining full control of the market, and prices might trend lower.

This band consists of the 20-week SMA and the 21-week EMA.

Earlier in May, Bitcoin climbed above this band for the first time since late October 2025, following its rally to above $82,000.

After the recent breakdown, the bear market could likely persist, dragging prices much lower.

"Right now, more and more institutions are trying to move assets onchain," Gu told CoinDesk in an interview. "They imagine that, let's say in 10 years, multiple trillion dollars — even tens of trillions of dollars — of assets are going to move onchain."The potentially massive migration of financial assets is hitting a wall because, although bankers and legacy institutions want to capture the efficiency of decentralized ledgers, the current operational reality is still too risky for conservative capital allocators."When they move assets onchain, they need to face all these AI attacks, smart contract vulnerabilities, oracle manipulation, and cross-chain bridge hacks," Gu explained. SUI mainnet resumes normal operations after validator fix




The Sui mainnet is back online after a bug in its latest software release brought the network to a standstill for roughly 5 hours and 55 minutes. Validators coordinated a fix and upgraded to a patched version, restoring normal checkpoint production on May 29.

The culprit was a flaw in the gas charging logic introduced in Sui’s 1.72 release. In English: the code that calculates how much users pay for transactions broke, and the entire network stopped processing new blocks as a result.
