Bitcoin faced fresh pressure on Thursday after MicroStrategy moved 441 BTC to Coinbase Prime. This has raised new questions about whether the company could reduce part of its holdings. The transfer came as MSTR stock dropped nearly 3% and BlackRock’s Bitcoin ETF recorded another day of outflows.
Blockchain tracking platform Lookonchain reported that MicroStrategy transferred 441 BTC worth about $30.3 million to Coinbase Prime. The move quickly triggered debate across the crypto market, with many traders asking if the company was preparing to sell part of its Bitcoin reserve.

The concern grew stronger after prediction platform Polymarket showed rising odds that Strategy could sell Bitcoin before the end of 2026. At the same time, shares of MicroStrategy slipped around 3% during trading hours.

Can XRP Repeat Stellar (XLM) Price Success After DTCC Integration?

The historical correlation between $XRP and Stellar ($XLM) has officially cracked this week. While $XLM jumped 50% in just a couple of days after the announcement of a partnership with clearing giant DTCC and erased its yearly decline, $XRP remained near the bottom with a YTD result of -29.15%.

We break down why $XRP cannot repeat this move through the DTCC angle, but is preparing much heavier artillery.

Why the DTCC announcement only sparked one token
The main paradox of the May split between the charts lies in the timeline, since Ripple's ecosystem interacted with DTCC two months earlier, in March 2024.

But after the announcement of Stellar's integration, the clearing giant, which processes quadrillions of dollars per year, now has fundamentally different integrations with both projects in terms of substance and timing:

Stellar ($XLM): The market reacted to a fresh and tangible trigger, namely the launch of tokenized Russell 1000 stocks, major ETFs and U.S. Treasuries directly on the Stellar chain in the first half of 2025. This direct utility demand is what rewrote the coin's chart, pushing it up 50% and proving that real-world assets (RWA) are the main driver of the current year.
$XRP: Investors are dealing with March history that has already been priced in, limited to Ripple Prime's brokerage unit entering Wall Street's clearing system. This is certainly a fundamental victory for Ripple's corporate business, but it has nothing to do with the blockchain, since the $XRP token itself does not directly participate in these DTCC settlements.
Moreover, Stellar, with its $6.95 billion market cap, is much easier to push up 50% on expectations of trillion-dollar flows than it is to move heavyweight $XRP with

Texas Bitcoin reserve plan advances as federal push faces delays
Texas has moved closer to holding Bitcoin directly after naming a new advisory committee to guide the state's Strategic Bitcoin Reserve.
The Texas Comptroller's office said Thursday that Acting Comptroller Kelly Hancock will serve on the five-member Texas Strategic Bitcoin Reserve Advisory Committee, which will advise the state on custody, valuation, and management of Bitcoin holdings.
The committee was created under Senate Bill 21, which the 89th Texas Legislature passed and signed into law on June 22, 2025. The law gave the Comptroller's office authority to administer the reserve and set up a framework for state-level Bitcoin exposure.
Hancock said in a statement that lawmakers gave his office a clear duty to manage the reserve with transparency, security, and strong financial controls. He added that the committee brings the expertise needed to carry out that work carefully and in the interest of Texas taxpayers.
