After failing to hold above a number of significant moving averages, Bitcoin is displaying signs of weakness. The most recent daily candles indicate that bearish momentum is starting to pick up steam. Just below the 200-day moving average, which still serves as a significant technical barrier, Bitcoin seems to have lost momentum
following a robust recovery from the March lows. A pivotal moment in the recent rally occurred with the rejection in the $81,000-$82,000 range. Although buyers were unable to produce enough volume to maintain the move, Bitcoin momentarily broke above its rising trendline and moved toward long-term resistance. Trading ViewBitcoin is currently trading below the 20-, 50-, and 100-day moving averages on the daily chart. After several weeks of rising momentum, the 50-day moving average is starting to flatten, which is even more worrisome for bulls.

XRP Seeing Similar Liquidity Structure to XLM Amid 40%+ Surge
Chart data shows XRP currently displaying a similar liquidity structure to Stellar amid the latter’s recent massive price surge.

Following the DTCC’s announcement that it had selected the Stellar blockchain for its securities tokenization project, Stellar (XLM) jumped more than 40%, reaching $0.29 before pulling back to around $0.25 at the time of writing.

This surge has brought attention to XRP due to its price correlation with XLM. Crypto analyst CryptoInsightUK believes XRP could be preparing for a similar breakout, arguing that the asset now shows many of the same signs that appeared before XLM’s recent rally.

XLM jumped more than 40% after DTCC chose Stellar for its securities tokenization initiative.

CryptoInsightUK says XRP is now seeing a similar liquidity structure to XLM following its surge.

The XLM price broke out of its trading range before XRP during a similar setup in November.

The US says it grabbed Iran’s crypto in a $1B seizure – will it end up in Trump’s Bitcoin Reserve?

Bessent’s Iran crypto seizure claim puts $1 billion in adversary assets between frozen wallets, forfeiture, and Trump’s Bitcoin Reserve.
Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said the US seized roughly $1 billion in Iranian crypto assets, but gave no wallet or token details.

The asset mix matters because finally forfeited Bitcoin could enter Trump's Strategic Bitcoin Reserve, while non-BTC tokens would go elsewhere.

Whether the money is frozen, seized, or finally forfeited is unclear, and that legal status decides if the reserve ever gets it.
reasury Secretary Scott Bessent said at the Reagan National Economic Forum that the US had seized roughly $1 billion in Iranian crypto assets, turning the Iran crypto seizure into an early test of Trump’s reserve framework

Bessent added the authorities “just outright grabbed the wallets,” with CBS reporting he also described the assets as money stolen from the Iranian people.

Yet Bessent disclosed neither the asset types nor the wallets involved, and that lack of information is exactly what determines whether any of this money ever reaches President Donald Trump's Strategic Bitcoin Reserve.

Trump's 2025 executive order created two separate buckets for government-held digital assets. The Strategic Bitcoin Reserve holds BTC that has been finally forfeited through criminal or civil proceedings, or collected through civil penalties, and the order states that government BTC deposited into it shall not be sold.

That split makes the Iran crypto seizure a classification test: Bitcoin can move toward the Strategic Bitcoin Reserve only after final forfeiture, while non-BTC tokens belong in the US Digital Asset Stockpile.
