What is Drift Protocol (DRIFT)

1. Project Introduction
Drift Protocol is a decentralized exchange, open-sourced and built on the Solana blockchain. Drift was designed with a goal to be capital efficient but also protective of users' assets. Currently, Drift Protocol offers four primary products: spot trading, perpetuals trading, borrow & lend, and passive liquidity provision. Trades on Drift Protocol are supported by three liquidity mechanisms: Just-in-Time (JIT) auction liquidity, limit orderbook liquidity, and AMM liquidity.
Summary: Drift Protocol (DRIFT) is a DEX on Solana. Drift was launched in 2021, and Drift v2 was released in mid-2022. Drift Protocol offers a variety of derivative markets, including perpetuals, spot trading, and borrow & lend.
