What is ICX

1. Project Introduction
ICON is a universal blockchain ecosystem focused on interoperability between different blockchains. The project aims to enable seamless communication between chains, allowing for token transfers and smart contract interactions across disparate networks.
The ICON Network uses a unique consensus algorithm called Delegated Proof of Contribution (DPoC), which operates on a Loop Fault Tolerance (LFT) consensus mechanism. It allows users to vote on block production decisions via a governance process. Launched in 2017 by the ICON Foundation, a nonprofit organization based in South Korea, the ICON blockchain went live in early 2018.
