How to use the withdrawal address whitelist function?

I. Feature Overview

  • The withdrawal address whitelist restricts your withdrawals. When enabled, you can only withdraw to addresses saved in your whitelist. You cannot withdraw to non-whitelisted or newly entered addresses. When disabled, you may withdraw to any address.
  • Disabling your whitelist requires submitting a request for review. The processing time varies, typically from a few minutes to several days.
  • After enabling the withdrawal whitelist, any newly added whitelisted address will be subject to a predefined waiting period before it becomes active for withdrawals. Only active whitelisted addresses are eligible for withdrawals. You may cancel an address addition at any time during the waiting period.
  • You can define the preset waiting period. However, shortening the waiting time (e.g., from 3 days to 1 day) requires administrator review. The processing time is variable, typically ranging from a few minutes to several days.
  • Any action related to whitelist settings, such as enabling/disabling the feature and adding/removing whitelist addresses, will trigger a notification to your signup email or phone number. Please check your inbox or SMS promptly.

II. Scope of Application

  • When enabled, the whitelist will restrict withdrawals on both the HTX app and website. API users are not affected and will continue using addresses added via API.
  • You may enable/disable the whitelist and add whitelist addresses on both the app and website.

III. How to Manage Withdrawal Address Whitelist (Web)

3.1 Enable Whitelist

  1. Log into your account, click Assets in the navigation bar, and choose Withdraw. On the withdrawal page, click Withdrawal Address and toggle Whitelist to turn it on.

  1. Select a waiting period. This defines how long a newly added whitelist address must wait before becoming effective. Example: If set to 3 days, a newly added address will be usable after 3 calendar days.

3. Click Confirm and complete the security verification. Once verified, the whitelist will be enabled.

4. After enabling the whitelist, you may add withdrawal addresses to it. Note: Once the whitelist is enabled, you can only withdraw to activated whitelist addresses.

3.2 Add Addresses to Whitelist

After enabling the whitelist, you can add new withdrawal addresses in the following two ways:

1. Add a new address

Select Add to Whitelist when adding an address. The address will enter the waiting period, then become a valid whitelisted address for withdrawals. If you do not check this option, the address will be saved as a Crypto Address, which cannot be used for withdrawals.

2. Add a saved address

Choose a desired address in your address list, click Add, and complete verification. The address will enter the waiting period and then become a whitelisted address.

3.3 Remove a Whitelist Address

To convert an active whitelist address back to a Crypto Address, click Remove. Once confirmed, the address becomes a regular address and cannot be used for withdrawals when the withdrawal whitelist is enabled.

3.4 Remove a Pending Address

If the address is still in its waiting period, click Cancel. After confirmation, the address will revert to a Crypto Address and cannot be used for withdrawals when the withdrawal whitelist is enabled.

3.5 Modify Whitelist Activation Time

After the whitelist is enabled, you may adjust the preset activation time for future addresses.

1. Click the edit button next to the Whitelist on the top right of the page.

2. Select a waiting period and confirm. If the new period is longer (e.g., from 1 day to 3 days), the update takes effect after verification. If it is shorter (e.g., from 3 days to 1 day), the change requires administrator review. Review time varies from a few minutes to several days. During review, you cannot modify the activation time or disable the whitelist.

3. The updated activation time only applies to newly added whitelist addresses. Previously added addresses will still follow the old activation time.

3.6 Disable Whitelist

1. When the whitelist is enabled, toggle the switch to turn it off. A confirmation window will appear.

2. After confirming, the request will be sent for administrator review. The withdrawal whitelist cannot be disabled until the review is approved. Review time varies from a few minutes to several days. During review, you cannot modify the activation time or disable the whitelist again.

3. Once approved, the whitelist will be disabled, and you may withdraw to any address.

4. Note: Disabling the whitelist will turn all whitelist addresses back into regular addresses. Re-enabling the whitelist will require you to add addresses again.
