Over the past week, Bitcoin experienced sharp fluctuations. Starting September at around $78,000, $BTC surged above $82,000 for the week, reaching its highest level since May. However, it failed to hold at that level and once again fell below $80,000.
As of today, with Bitcoin falling below $80,000, data shows that U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs recorded net inflows for the third consecutive week. Spot Ethereum ETFs also extended their inflow streak to three weeks, indicating a recovery in institutional demand.
Positive Trend in Spot Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs!
According to data from SoSoValue, last week saw a net inflow of $986.9 million into U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs. This marks the third consecutive week of positive inflows into Bitcoin ETFs. The net inflow was $924.5 million the week before.
BlackRock's IBIT fund stood out with weekly inflows: the total net inflow over the past three weeks reached approximately $3.8 billion. This period represents the strongest three-week inflow period for Bitcoin ETFs in 2026.
Last week also saw a net inflow of $218.4 million into spot Ethereum ETFs. This is already the third consecutive week of positive money flow into Ethereum ETFs.
In August, ETFs continued to show confident growth. Net inflows into spot Bitcoin ETFs amounted to $3.52 billion, while spot Ethereum ETF inflows reached $1.85 billion. This monthly inflow into Bitcoin ETFs was the strongest since September 2025.
Bitcoin Price Forecast: $82,000–$85,000!
In an interview with The Block, Zeus Research analyst Dominic John stated that the Bitcoin market's bullish trend will persist if the $80,000 level is maintained.
At this stage, the analyst predicted that $BTC's upward trend will remain strong as long as the price stays above the $80,000 level, and that prices will gradually rise towards $82,000–$85,000. The analyst noted that the next significant upward move may depend on macroeconomic events.
John pointed out that the continued ETF inflows signal an increase in institutional investor investment in Bitcoin and a recovery in real spot demand.
Bitcoin's Biggest Risk is Inflation!
Presto Research analyst Min Jeong stated that the cryptocurrency market is starting to close the gap with other risky assets, and ETF inflows indicate a recovery in institutional demand.
However, Jeong believes that higher-than-expected U.S. inflation figures pose a substantial risk that could slow Bitcoin's upward trend.
