OpenSea now supports the use of Power Protocol’s $POWER token as a payment method for NFT purchases on its marketplace. The $POWER token, which is earned through gameplay in titles like Fableborne, can now be used directly without conversion to other assets. This integration connects in-game rewards with one of the world’s largest NFT marketplaces, expanding the token’s utility beyond gaming into broader digital commerce. According to Kam Punia, CEO of Pixion Games, the move enables game-earned value to participate in the wider digital economy. Oliver Maroney of OpenSea highlighted that the integration aligns with their vision of flexible, onchain transactions and supports the growing demand for portable in-game assets. The Power Protocol serves as a shared infrastructure designed to connect multiple games and applications through a common token economy.

Gameplay-earned tokens from Fableborne can now be used directly across OpenSea’s marketplace.

Power Protocol announced that its $POWER token, a gameplay-earned reward, is now supported as a payment option for NFT purchases on OpenSea.

The integration lets players use $POWER without first converting into another asset, connecting in-game activity with one of the largest NFT marketplaces in the world. The update expands the utility of $POWER beyond gaming and into broader NFT commerce.

$POWER is earned through participation in the Power ecosystem, with Fableborne serving as its flagship title. Until now, OpenSea payments have primarily relied on assets such as ETH, WETH, and USDC. Adding $POWER introduces a gameplay-earned token as a marketplace-wide payment method, enabling value generated in games to flow directly into NFT transactions.

Kam Punia, Founder and CEO of Pixion Games, said:

“Our objective with Power Protocol has been to create a framework in which game-earned value can participate in the wider digital economy. OpenSea’s integration of POWER allows a token earned through gameplay to be used natively across one of the world’s largest NFT and token marketplaces.”

Power Protocol is designed as a shared infrastructure layer connecting games, applications, and digital products through common token mechanics. While Fableborne is the first major driver of activity, the protocol is built to support additional integrations over time.

Oliver Maroney, Head of Business Development and Partnerships at OpenSea, said:

“This integration reflects growing demand for more flexible payment options and our vision of everything onchain, all in one place. POWER represents a great use case for our space, originating from a game ecosystem yet designed to participate in wider digital markets. Enabling POWER as a platform-wide payment method gives creators and collectors on OpenSea a new way to transact, and we’re pleased to support this integration.”

The move positions $POWER as a token with utility beyond a single game, reflecting a broader shift toward making in-game rewards portable across open marketplaces.

Publicly Pumping Ethereum, Internally Bearish in Reports: Is Tom Lee's Team Still Trustworthy?

Tom Lee, co-founder of Fundstrat and a prominent public Ethereum bull, faces credibility questions after an internal Fundstrat report presented a bearish short-term outlook, contrasting his highly optimistic public statements. Publicly, Lee repeatedly called Ethereum to reach $12,000-$15,000 by end-2025 and declared it "severely undervalued" at $3,000. He has been a vocal "perma-bull" in media appearances. However, Fundstrat's internal 2026 Crypto Outlook report, led by Digital Asset Strategist Sean Farrell, advised paying subscribers to expect a significant market correction in early 2026. Its base case predicted ETH could fall to $1,800-$2,000 and BTC to $60,000-$65,000, citing macroeconomic risks like a potential U.S. government shutdown and Federal Reserve leadership change. The report recommended clients increase cash/stablecoin holdings and wait for better entry points, while maintaining a long-term bullish year-end 2026 target of $4,500 for ETH. Fundstrat responded that the discrepancy stems from different analysts serving different client types: Lee's long-term, structural views are for traditional investors with low (1%-5%) crypto allocations, while Farrell's tactical, short-term risk management is for crypto-heavy portfolios. Critics argue this distinction was never clearly disclosed in Lee's public media appearances, which serve as marketing for Fundstrat's subscription service. Further complicating matters, Lee is also Chairman of BitMine, a company adopting an Ethereum treasury strategy, raising potential conflict of interest concerns about his public endorsements. The incident highlights the blurred lines between personal commentary, institutional research, and marketing in the crypto research space.
