Hashdex, a cryptocurrency asset management company, has announced the closure and liquidation of its U.S.-traded spot Bitcoin ETF, the Hashdex Bitcoin ETF (NYSE Arca: DEFI). This makes DEFI the first spot Bitcoin ETF to be shut down in the United States. According to filings with the SEC, the fund's assets under management were approximately $14.7 million as of July 30, 2026.
