The U.S. Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals has ruled against Kalshi's request for an administrative stay, clearing the way for Nevada regulators to pursue a temporary restraining order. Analysts suggest that if the ban is implemented, Kalshi could be forced to withdraw entirely from the Nevada market for at least two weeks.

Previously, the Nevada Gaming Control Board issued a cease and desist order to Kalshi in March 2025, demanding it stop offering prediction contracts related to sports.
