To preserve response diversity, the team derived a 'Preference Matching' regularization scheme by solving ordinary differential equations (ODEs), maximizing human rewards while avoiding uniform responses, and explored a game-theoretic perspective of 'Nash Learning Based on Human Feedback' (NLHF) as an alternative to traditional scalar reward alignment.
