Blockchain Association files brief in support of Coin Center's lawsuit against US Treasury over Tornado Cash sanctions

The Blockchain Association, located in Washington DC, has submitted an amicus brief in support of Coin Center's lawsuit against the US Treasury Department over its sanctions on Tornado Cash, a crypto mixer. The Treasury claims that the service laundered $7 billion of virtual currency and was used by Americans. Coin Center filed a lawsuit in October, arguing that Tornado Cash had legitimate use cases. The Blockchain Association, through its DeFi Education Fund, argued that the sanctions raised "serious regulatory and constitutional questions" and emphasized the importance of financial privacy for digital asset holders.
