ECB: Bitcoin should not be legalised

The European Central Bank has said that Bitcoin is neither suitable as a payment system nor as a form of investment, so it should be considered unsuitable for regulatory purposes and therefore should not be legalised. The financial industry should be wary of promoting the long-term damage of bitcoin investments, despite the short-term profits they can make. Once bitcoin investors lose further money, the negative impact on customer relations and reputational damage to the industry as a whole could be enormous.
