This performance reflects the challenges faced by some Bitcoin mining companies in terms of profitability. Since the halving in May 2024, mining difficulty (a measure of the difficulty in mining new blocks) has increased by 58.5%, while Bitcoin prices have dropped 46% from their peak last October, compressing miners' profit margins.
