Are meme coins included in major crypto indexes?

Is it reasonable to consider meme coins as part of major crypto indexes? Given their volatile nature and speculative appeal, one could argue that including them undermines the credibility of these indexes. Shouldn't we prioritize more established cryptocurrencies that demonstrate stability and utility instead of allowing meme coins to dilute the market's integrity?
