Global adoption of Ripple’s infrastructure is accelerating across three continents simultaneously. Within weeks, South Korea’s KBank launched a cross-border payment pilot, France deployed a regulated euro stablecoin on the $XRP Ledger, and Japan integrated $XRP into payments for tens of millions of consumers. In a separate development, South Korean insurer Kyobo Life settled tokenised government bonds using Ripple Custody.

From Price Talk to Real Utility

Commentator Rob Cunningham says that $XRP isn’t meant to be judged like a typical crypto asset. It’s a liquidity bridge, and its value depends on how much money flows through it, how fast it moves, and how much supply is actually available. In other words, price becomes a byproduct of usage, not the main story.

That change is already visible. $XRP is now being used in live financial corridors, not just pilots. Institutions are getting more comfortable holding it, and with regulatory clarity like the Clarity Act approaching, the door for large-scale capital is slowly opening.

Australia’s consumer price index (CPI) rose sharply in March, driven largely by higher fuel costs linked to geopolitical tensions in the Middle East. According to data released by the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS), annual inflation climbed to 4.6% as of March 31, up from 3.7% in the previous quarter. While the figure came in slightly below market expectations of 4.8%, it still reflects a significant acceleration in price pressures across the economy.On a monthly basis, CPI increased by 1.1%, marking the fastest rise since records began in 2017. Transportation costs were the primary contributor, fueled by a surge in global oil prices following disruptions tied to the ongoing Iran conflict. Rising housing costs also added to inflationary pressures, further straining household budgets.Core inflation, measured by the trimmed mean CPI, held steady at 3.3% in March. Although unchanged from the prior month, it remains above the Reserve Bank of Australia’s (RBA) target range of 2% to 3%, signaling persistent underlying inflation. On a quarterly basis, headline CPI rose 4.1% year-on-year, while trimmed mean CPI reached 3.5%.Despite the spike in headline inflation, analysts noted that underlying inflation appears relatively stable, partly due to the RBA’s recent monetary tightening. The central bank has already raised interest rates by a total of 50 basis points this year and has indicated that further hikes may be necessary to curb inflation.Economists suggest that temporary measures, such as fuel excise cuts, may limit inflation in the short term. However, the broader impact of rising energy costs is expected to continue feeding into the economy over the coming months. As a result, inflation trends and RBA policy decisions will remain key factors influencing the Australian dollar and overall economic outlook.Gold is meant to be a ‘safe haven’ in uncertain times.

Cardano Foundation CEO: “We’re Bringing Many of Bitcoin’s Features to ADA”



Speaking at a panel held as part of Paris Blockchain Week, Cardano Foundation CEO Frederik Gregaard highlighted $ADA’s contribution to the authentication and security infrastructure of the traditional banking system.

Gregaard stated, “What banks use today to secure themselves and verify their identities is the Legal Entity Identifier. Cardano ($ADA) is the only blockchain that can do this, and we are also leveraging some architectural elements of Bitcoin in this process.” He argued that $ADA could bring the standards used by traditional financial institutions to the blockchain world.

Gregaard said, “There’s a lot of work being done to bring Bitcoin to Cardano, programmable DeFi with BTC, using Satoshis as gas fees natively on Cardano… So you get programmability without leaving Bitcoin. That will unlock a lot of things.”

The CEO of the Cardano Foundation added, “Bitcoin has the superiority of UTXO and the superiority of its architecture… $ADA borrowed some of these design principles. I think Bitcoin and $ADA really work together very well.”
