An analysis shared by Cryptoquant on June 23 showed a split in positioning on Gate crypto exchange, with select altcoins recording stronger outflows than inflows while other cryptocurrencies attracted increased deposits. The findings were based on the Gate Netflow Heatmap, which tracks inflows and outflows across multiple crypto assets.

The data showed a group of tokens recording stronger outflows than inflows, a pattern often associated with accumulation activity.

The analyst explained:

“Some altcoins are leaving Gate more than others. This may be an early sign of accumulation.”

The analysis identified several assets showing stronger outflows than inflows, including voyager token (VGX), amp (AMP), 0x (ZRX), the sandbox (SAND), quant (QNT), yearn.finance (YFI), YFF, chiliz (CHZ), aavegotchi (GHST), decentraland (MANA), jasmycoin (JASMY), and compound (COMP). Exchange withdrawals can indicate that investors are moving holdings into private wallets rather than keeping them available for immediate trading.

Investors may be prioritizing these assets for accumulation and future speculation, according to the analysis. Those positions were reflected in the stronger outflow activity observed on Gate.

Lighter down 11% as Spot volume drops 3x – Can LIT’s price recover?Lighter [$LIT] is down more than 11% in the past 24 hours when gauging its price movement from the day’s peak to the low. $LIT crashed from $1.663 to $1.4725 with daily sell volume increasing by 20%.

The decline follows a healthy price surge in the past two days. The two-day rally was equivalent to a 50% retracement from the most recent price range where the lower high is at $1.90 and a lower low is at $1.50.

Here is why the token is trading in a downtrend and if it can recover:

Blockworks reported that the number of Daily Active Traders has reduced by 50% over the past week. Numerically, this figure declined from 15,411 to 7,972 and seems to be continuing with this trend.

On the 17th of June, the Spot volume was at $1.738 billion but now trades at slightly above $531 million. This represents a more than 3x decrease over the same period.

Again, $LIT’s Spot volume hit a monthly low of $182 million the previous day. This is about 10x below the peak volume seen in the past week, indicating extremely low trading activity.

Combining all this data, the daily revenue has also been taking a hit, declining to $40K. Moreover, capital outflow is increasing, with about 30 trades resulting in $445.3K sell pressure.

The SPCX perpetual briefly touched a 24-hour low of $147.17, slipping under the $150 mark where it debuted. It remains above the $135 IPO reference price, but the drop was enough to trigger a cascade of forced exits among leveraged longs. Perpetual futures — contracts without an expiry date — amplify directional bets, and the unwind shows how crowded the long side had become.

Tokenized stocks aren’t new, yet a liquidation print of this size for a private-company derivative is unusual. FTX first popularized stock tokens, and since then a handful of platforms have listed synthetic equities like Coinbase and Tesla. SpaceX stands apart because its shares do not trade publicly; the underlying price feeds draw from secondary market data, making the derivative’s pricing less transparent and potentially more volatile in moments of stress. When the reference price lurched lower, heavily loaded positions were wiped out in rapid succession, pushing total liquidations past $76 million.

Bitcoin is trading near $62,500 after a rough June that briefly pushed it under $60,000 and left it ranging between $62,000 and $67,000.

A surprise in the inflation print could land while billions in contracts are already sliding toward settlement, with the hedging that follows risking a sharper move than the data alone would produce.

We've seen this play out once already this year. On March 27, $14.1 billion in Bitcoin options and $2.2 billion in Ethereum contracts expired into a market hit by an oil shock, rising yields, and fading rate-cut hopes, and Bitcoin dropped toward $66,200 that morning as dealer hedging turned an ordinary drop into a faster one.

A hot PCE inflation backdrop
The last PCE report gave the Fed cover to stay tight, with headline PCE rising 3.8% in April from a year earlier, nearly double the 2% target, and core holding at 3.3%, its highest since October 2023.

Thursday's release covers data for May and follows a 6.5% annual jump in producer prices, the fastest since November 2022, driven by energy costs tied to the Iran conflict that tend to feed consumer inflation with a lag.

The Fed has leaned into that data. At Kevin Warsh's first meeting on June 17, the committee held its rate at 3.50%-3.75%, dropped its easing language, and raised its year-end PCE forecast to 3.6% from 2.7%.
