A look at the daily chart shows why that could be the case for ADA. Both BTC and Ether have broken above the 50-day simple moving average (SMA), but that is not the case for the “Ethereum killer.”

The current Cardano price of $0.243 lies below the 50D SMA at $0.260. Notably, this dynamic trendline is crucial, as it serves as a borderline for price trends. Trading below it reinforces bearish trends, while a break above shifts momentum to the bullish side.

Interestingly, ADA has failed to sustainably trade above this MA since early October 2025. While it did between July and August 2025, its price rose 52% from $0.67 to $1.019. However, since breaking below in October 2025, its price has dropped by 70%, from $0.819 to the current level.

As a result, breaking above the 50-day moving average resistance could be the gamechanger for ADA. Until this occurs, bears are still in control, and the coin could continue to underperform against Bitcoin and Ethereum.

The crypto regulation standoff over the CLARITY Act shifted Monday when White House crypto adviser Patrick Witt told an interviewer that negotiations have cleared most remaining obstacles and that he is confident the final issues can be resolved, saying “we’re very close to closing them out.” Summary Witt said the stablecoin yield dispute that dominated headlines for three months is largely settled under the Tillis-Alsobrooks framework, and that several other issues including DeFi rules and ethics provisions have made “considerable progress in the background.” The White House adviser would not specify which remaining issues have been closed, but said the fact that previously intractable problems were resolved gives him confidence that the outstanding ones will be too. Senator Thom Tillis is expected to release an updated stablecoin yield compromise draft this week, which could unlock a Senate Banking Committee markup before the end of April and a floor vote by late May. The Witt interview aired Monday on CoinDesk TV as the Senate returned from Easter recess and Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse publicly projected the bill would pass by end of May. Witt acknowledged that the common ground secured by Senators Tillis and Alsobrooks on stablecoin yield “seems to be intact,” a notable signal given that Coinbase reversed its opposition to the bill earlier this month. The CLARITY Act cleared the House in July 2025 by a 294 to 134 vote and the Senate Agriculture Committee in January 2026, leaving only the Senate Banking Committee markup as the final major procedural step before the Senate floor. Despite the broader recovery, a crypto expert posted on X that it is the end of an era for FARTCOIN alongside a bearish four-hour chart.

However, price action continued to tell a different story.

On the daily chart, FARTCOIN approached the $0.225 resistance level, which has held firm since February 2026.

Historically, price has tested this level multiple times and faced strong selling pressure, leading to declines.


If momentum continues and price breaks above $0.225, FARTCOIN could rally another 37% toward $0.312. However, failure to break this level could trigger another rejection, repeating past behavior.

That setup kept attention fixed on whether resistance would finally give way.

At press time, Chaikin Money Flow (CMF) stood at -0.06, while Money Flow Index (MFI) reached 57.06. These readings pointed to slight capital outflows, while buying pressure remained moderate.

In fact, the structure appeared balanced rather than showing a clear distribution. This suggested that momentum remained intact, though not strong enough to confirm a breakout yet.

The rally followed a solid session on Wall Street, where the S&P 500 climbed 1.2%, ending just shy of record highs, while the Nasdaq surged nearly 2%, driven by continued strength in the tech sector.
In Asia, Japan’s Nikkei 225 rose around 1%, holding near historic levels, with the broader TOPIX index also posting modest gains. South Korea’s KOSPI emerged as the standout performer, jumping more than 3% and briefly crossing the 6,100 mark, fueled by strong demand for AI-related memory chips. SK Hynix hit a new all-time high, while Samsung Electronics also advanced significantly.

Geopolitical developments also played a key role in boosting investor confidence. Reports suggesting a possible restart of U.S.-Iran negotiations helped ease tensions, even as underlying risks persist. The easing outlook contributed to a decline in oil prices, reducing inflation concerns and supporting global equities.
Adding to the positive sentiment, U.S. producer price data came in softer than expected, signaling easing pipeline inflation. Investors are now turning their attention to upcoming earnings from major U.S. banks, which are expected to provide further insight into the strength of the global economy.
