“$RLUSD crossed $2B in market cap last week, with close to $1B issued on the $XRP Ledger. Live since December 2024, built for real-world utility and designed for enterprise use cases. “

Each $RLUSD token is designed to maintain a value of $1 through reserves containing cash and permitted cash equivalents. Ripple’s $RLUSD documentation states that reserves are held in segregated accounts and include short-term U.S. Treasury bills, government money market funds, overnight reverse repurchase agreements, and bank deposits. Deloitte conducts monthly reserve attestations, according to Ripple.

RWA.xyz data placed $RLUSD’s market cap at approximately $2.02 billion, up 31.45% over 30 days, with about $962.8 million issued on the $XRP Ledger and $1.05 billion on Ethereum. The same dataset recorded $11.81 billion in $RLUSD transfers over the preceding 30 days, spread across 1.39 million transactions.

The two networks now carry nearly equal shares of $RLUSD supply, with less than $90 million separating them. Ripple issues the stablecoin natively on each chain rather than bridging a single pool, so the two balances account for nearly all of the $2.02 billion total.

The stablecoin’s current valuation represents an eightfold increase from its level during the first four months after launch. In April 2025, Ripple reported that $RLUSD was approaching $250 million in market capitalization.

Zerohash back for second effort at OCC trust bank charterZerohash, the crypto infrastructure company that serves high-profile partners such as Morgan Stanley's E*Trade, BlackRock and Stripe, returned to the applicant pool for a U.S. banking charter after the federal regulator handed back its first effort.

The U.S. Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, which regulates and charters national banks and trust companies, had formally returned the Chicago-based firm's first application last month, meaning the effort had some material deficiencies. But Zerohash said it would be quickly starting a new application with a significantly narrower focus.

That trust application is now awaiting the OCC's review, and a public comment period is open until September 17. Many other crypto-native firms have recently received preliminary trust charters, and two were denied, but this is the only one returned.

A spokesperson for the company told CoinDesk earlier this month that they intended to refile again in August, but that it would be less ambitious and represent "a more focused approval of national trust activities aligned with our intended rollout timeline." However, neither Zerohash nor the OCC responded to requests for comment on this new effort.

Zerohash's earlier comments contended that the misfire on the first application was handled "in coordination with the OCC" and that it wasn't "a substantive decision on the merits of our application."

The company is already a state-chartered trust bank and handles crypto infrastructure needs for several major financial firms, including Franklin Templeton, Stripe, Interactive Brokers and DraftKings.

Zerohash is also involved in a California wrongful termination court case in which its former chief compliance officer claims he was fired after uncovering several compliance problems.

S.BLOX operates under Sony On-Chain Technologies Inc., a Sony Group subsidiary that completed its acquisition of the exchange platform in August 2023. Through an announcement on X, the exchange confirmed the immediate availability of $ADA transactions and the listing of $NIGHT. The technical integration lets local users access the new trading pairs inside an environment regulated by Japanese financial authorities.

The addition of $NIGHT marks the first time the token has entered a domestic exchange in Japan, with S.BLOX documentation confirming no other domestic operator had technical support for the asset beforehand. The Midnight protocol launched its mainnet technical operations in March, and the $NIGHT token was issued in December 2025.
To encourage uptake, S.BLOX launched two promotional programs: registered users can qualify for rewards of up to 10,000 yen in $ADA and bonuses of up to 14,000 yen in $NIGHT upon meeting the exchange’s operational requirements. The campaigns are scheduled to run throughout August, according to the schedule published on the exchange’s official channels.Cardano founder Charles Hoskinson described the listing as significant given the rigorous technical evaluation and compliance processes required by Japan’s Financial Services Agency, addressing the integration during a recent livestream. Market observers said enabling the assets on a Sony-backed exchange could bolster liquidity for both tokens across the Asian region during the current quarter, and the move gives a major corporate backer a foothold in Cardano’s ecosystem.
