Bitcoin looks trapped in a repeated bear flag, while crypto sentiment has slipped back below 20. However, liquidity hopes and Bitcoin's strength during global shocks have kept bulls from giving up completely.

So, was this structure finally ready to break upward, or was another flush still waiting underneath?

Bitcoin had formed the same classic bear flag again. This structure started after the 6th of February dip, repeating the same setup seen in November 2025 before Bitcoin dumped in late January 2026.

That was not some random shape. It was a warning.

Bitcoin continued to grind within a bearish channel, failing to flip the trend. A breakout above the upper line and a strong hold would have quickly flipped sentiment.

What if that breakout failed?

Then the lower line became the problem. Losing that support would have exposed Bitcoin to lower lows again. Failure to which, the bulls would have watched the same painful movie twice.

NYSE taps Securitize to develop 24/7 tokenized securities platform

The New York Stock Exchange has partnered with Securitize to help build its planned 24/7 tokenized securities platform.

The move signals deepening institutional commitment to tokenization as TradFi firms race to modernize market infrastructure.

The New York Stock Exchange has partnered with Securitize in its push to bring equities trading onto blockchain rails through its own tokenized securities platform.

Under the arrangement, Securitize will enable the creation and management of shares for stocks and exchange-traded funds as blockchain-based tokens, allowing them to be issued and traded in digital form, Securitize announced Tuesday. The Wall Street Journal first reported the news.

NYSE had previously outlined plans to build a tokenized securities venue capable of 24/7 trading in January. The addition of Securitize formalizes a core piece of that infrastructure, linking the exchange’s ambitions with an established player in digital asset issuance.

Securitize specializes in tokenizing real-world assets, converting traditional financial instruments into blockchain-native representations that can be traded more efficiently. The firm has worked with institutions including BlackRock, which earlier launched a tokenized fund through Securitize’s platform.

The Criminal Assets Bureau has been unable to realise the value of 6,000 seized bitcoins which are worth just under €370m because the access codes to digital wallets have been lost.

CAB has, though, seized and sold cryptocurrency worth almost €6.5m in the past 10 years, according to new figures from the Department of Justice.

CAB became the first law enforcement agency in the world to seize Ethereum in 2016, which it subsequently sold through a cryptocurrency exchange for €22,656.

Almost 127 bitcoins were seized and sold through a receiver on behalf of CAB in 2021, generating revenue of over €5.4m after costs. This was returned to six victims of a Sim-swapping scam.

Another tranche of seized bitcoin was sold for just over €1m by the agency, but the largest single seizure of the cryptocurrency has eluded the agency since the High Court ordered its forfeiture to the State in 2020.

A total of 6,000 bitcoins were seized from drug dealer Clifton Collins, who had run a large-scale cannabis cultivation operation for more than a decade. He had used the proceeds to purchase cryptocurrency in 2011 and 2012.

He had hidden the access codes to 12 digital wallets inside the aluminium cap of a fishing rod case in his rented house in Connemara, Co Galway. When he was jailed for his involvement in drugs, his landlord cleared out the house and the codes were lost.

The cryptocurrency was worth about €50m at the time, but its value has since grown to just under €370m.
