Kalshi says the image tells a different story than the trailer implies. The receipt is dated May 16, 2025, more than a year before the events shown on screen. The phone display reads “crop,” which Kalshi says shows the person was viewing a saved image rather than an active trade. Continued support above the trendline could allow XRP price to return toward $1.20. Stronger buying pressure could then produce a new short term high between $1.20 and $1.30The trendline remains the key part of this setup. A clear break below it would weaken the bullish structure and could send XRP toward $1.008.

Further selling below $1.008 would expose the next major support near $0.90. That lower target may become more likely if Bitcoin falls below $60,000 or regulatory concerns increase.

Institutional investors are increasingly viewing Strategy’s STRC preferred stock as a mainstream income product rather than a specialized cryptocurrency-linked investment.

With a combined investment of $756 million, STRC has amassed the largest holding among the three main U.S. preferred stock exchange-traded funds (ETFs): BlackRock’s PFF, Virtus InfraCap’s PFFA, and VanEck’s PFXF.

Why is this a bullish sign?

This is noteworthy because these ETFs are frequently looking for steady income.

Hence, by allocating a significant amount of their portfolios to STRC, ETF managers have now exposed millions of investors to Strategy’s credit products.

This shows that, despite Strategy’s close ties to Bitcoin [BTC], the market is beginning to regard it as a reliable issuer of fixed-income securities.

Concerns and crictism remains

Interestingly, this occurs even though, at the time of publication, STRC was trading at $86.88, below the $100 mark. Furthermore, adding more stress to the matter, Phong Le, the current CEO of Strategy, stated that the retail side saw a decline in numbers.

As predicted, forever Bitcoin critic Peter Schiff used this opportunity to attack Strategy and said,

Yes, but that means retail investors sold for a loss. My guess is the institutional buyers bought in for a short-term trade only. Or maybe they shorted MSTR and bought STRC as a spread trade. Maybe they bought STRC and shorted Bitcoin. None of those trades are bullish bets.

Is the broader market helping STRC?

While all of this is going on, Bitcoin, which was trading near $65k, declined by 2.28% in the past day and was back at $63,934.94 at press time.

This further coincided with Strategy deciding to increase its USD holdings by an additional $225 million, bringing its total cash reserves to $3.2 billion. But rather than displaying

Small farmers, construction firms, and independent retailers carry enormous climate-driven financial risk but have almost no practical way to hedge it. The weather derivatives market—designed for precisely that—sits firmly in the hands of large energy companies, insurers, and agricultural conglomerates. A CoinDesk op-ed now argues that tokenization could be the mechanism that finally pushes these instruments beyond institutional walls and onto Main Street balance sheets.

A market built for the few

Conventional weather derivatives—temperature-based contracts, rainfall swaps, hurricane bonds—require capital, prime brokerage relationships, and legal infrastructure that shut out smaller players. A mid-sized farm facing a drought can’t easily buy a tailored seasonal payout. The paper-based and over-the-counter nature of these contracts adds cost and complexity. In practice, most of the economy absorbs weather shocks directly.

Tokenization changes the math. By representing weather-linked cash flows as smart contracts on public blockchains, a farmer in Brazil or a roofing contractor in Florida could, in theory, purchase a parametric hedge without going through a bank. Oracles feed verified weather data on-chain, automation handles settlement, and fractional ownership lets users buy only the protection they need. The core logic isn’t new to DeFi, but the real-world impact would be.

Tokenization’s real-world momentum

The argument lands at a moment when real-world asset tokenization has stopped being a concept and started posting numbers.
