A major controversy has emerged between Justin Sun and the Trump-linked crypto project WLFI, setting the tone for today’s market developments.

In a post on X, Sun alleges that the platform embedded a hidden blacklist function within its smart contract, which was used to freeze his wallet in September 2025 without prior notice.
As WLFI’s largest investor, Sun has raised broader concerns about the project’s governance. Specifically, he claims that voting mechanisms were structured to justify freezing investor assets. In addition, he alleges that the team extracted undisclosed fees and misused community funds. Sun further describes the operation as functioning like a “personal ATM.”

Data from Bubblemaps indicates that Sun’s frozen holdings total roughly 545 million WLFI tokens, which have declined by more than $80 million in value since the freeze.

However, WLFI has strongly denied the allegations, calling them unfounded and accusing Sun of misconduct. The project has also signaled potential legal action, suggesting the dispute could escalate into court proceedings.

While the WLFI dispute dominates headlines, XRP is experiencing a sharp rise in negative sentiment.

Data from Santiment shows that fear, uncertainty, and doubt (FUD) surrounding XRP have reached their third-highest level in two years. In a recent post on X, Santiment noted that such extreme bearish sentiment has historically preceded market rebounds.

At present, XRP is trading at $1.33, down 63.6% from its July 2025 high of $3.65, according to CoinGecko. This prolonged downturn appears to have driven many retail investors out of the market, potentially creating conditions for a sentiment-driven recovery.

Here are key bitcoin price levels to watch as the rally gathers steam

Bitcoin analysts sounded bullish early this week and the market is proving them right. The cryptocurrency's price has hit four-week highs above $74,000.

As the rally continues, several key levels are now in focus. Let's take a look at those in detail.

$75,000 the 'release point'

This may be the most important because of its implications for derivatives positioning and dealer hedging flows. Dealers, or market makers, are entities that keep markets liquid and ensure a seamless trading experience by stepping in to buy or sell assets, taking the opposite side of your trade.

At $75,000, options market data from Deribit indicates that dealer and market maker exposure is tilted heavily toward so-called “negative gamma.”

Gamma refers to how quickly dealers must adjust their hedges as the underlying price moves.

When dealers are "long gamma," they tend to buy the underlying asset in spot/futures when its price falls, and sell when its price rises, inadvertently curbing volatility. But when they are short or in negative gamma, as is the case at $75,000, their behavior flips – hedging becomes pro-cyclical, meaning they may be forced to buy into rallies and sell into declines. Other things being equal, this dealer hedging often amplifies price volatility.

So, as bitcoin approaches and trades near $75,000, even modest price swings can trigger hedging flows from dealers adjusting their options exposure. If prices move past $75,000, dealers may buy into the rising market, potentially accelerating upside momentum.

Conversely, if prices turn lower from around $75,000, dealers could short, accelerating the decline, meaning this point can act less like a traditional support or resistance level and more like a "volatility release point."

Bitcoin Reaches Final Bull Trap

Following Bitcoin’s rebound over the weekend, a pseudonymous whale and crypto analyst known as NoName shared an update on Bitcoin’s latest price action and what its next moves may be. In a post on X, NoName announced that Bitcoin has recently hit its second and final bull trap since reaching a price peak in 2025.

He shared a video chart showing how the Bitcoin price has moved throughout its ongoing bear market. After a prolonged rally that eventually pushed Bitcoin to an all-time high above $126,700, the market shifted direction and entered a sustained downtrend, marked by multiple corrective waves.

Later during Q1 2026, Bitcoin experienced its first major bull trap. At the time, the price spiked sharply upward, drawing in late buyers and briefly reviving bullish sentiment before quickly reversing and resuming its decline. The move ultimately caught overleveraged traders off guard, leading to significant losses for those who entered near the top.

After this initial trap, the price continued to slide and establish lower price levels before forming its latest bull trap this month. Here, $BTC surged above $72,000 shortly after the US-Iran ceasefire announcement. The rally held for several days, sustaining optimism slightly, before momentum faded and the price retraced back toward the $70,000 level at the time of writing.
