Blockstream CEO Adam Back stated that a future post-quantum upgrade of Bitcoin could reveal the true size of Satoshi Nakamoto’s holdings. According to estimates, Satoshi may control between 500,000 and 1 million BTC, but the exact amount of accessible coins remains uncertain.

The idea is based on a potential migration to quantum-resistant address formats. In such a scenario, all Bitcoin holders would be encouraged to move their funds to new secure addresses to protect against future quantum computing threats. Coins that remain unmoved after this transition could be considered lost.

This process could provide new insight into how many of Satoshi’s coins are still accessible, as any active owner would likely move their holdings to the updated system. Dormant wallets that do not participate may indicate permanently lost Bitcoin.

Despite concerns about quantum computing, Adam Back emphasized that there is still plenty of time to prepare. He suggested that a real quantum threat to Bitcoin’s cryptography is likely at least 20 years away, giving developers enough time to implement secure solutions.

Researchers are already working on quantum-resistant technologies, including hash-based signature systems that could replace current cryptographic methods like ECDSA and Schnorr signatures.

Overall, while the quantum threat is still distant, the transition to a post-quantum Bitcoin network could not only improve security but also uncover long-standing mysteries about Satoshi’s holdings.

Bitwise launches Avalanche ETF with plans to stake AVAX held
The $11 billion crypto asset manager launched the new fund, ticker symbol BAVA.

Bloomberg ETF analyst James Seyffart called the fund’s $400,000 worth of volume in the first 90 minutes of trading “pretty damn good.”

Bitwise Asset Management, which has $11 billion under management, launched a new Avalanche exchange-traded fund on Wednesday.

The firm intends to stake the AVAX held, according to a statement.

"Avalanche is emerging as one of the leading platforms for businesses, governments, and real-world use cases," Bitwise CIO Matt Hougan said in the statement. "Avalanche's unique structure, which lets users leverage the security and scale of a large network while maintaining flexibility and control, makes it a great landing pad for enterprise-grade onchain applications."

Using Avalanche, developers can "build custom, interoperable blockchains," Bitwise said, noting that AVAX has been used by FIFA, Toyota, and the state of Wyoming for issuing its stablecoin.

Grayscale and VanEck have also launched AVAX exchange-traded funds.

The number of ETFs tracking the price of different altcoins continues to swell under President Trump's administration. Last week, Canary Capital filed to list an ETF giving exposure to the PEPE memecoin.

In the past day, around 82.5 billion SHIB tokens were withdrawn from exchanges, suggesting that some holders are moving assets off trading platforms. This often reflects reduced short-term selling pressure and a more “hold and wait” attitude among investors.
However, the broader picture remains mixed.
Exchange netflows are still slightly positive overall, meaning inflows have not fully disappeared. At the same time, large-holder outflows (Top 10 transactions) are gradually increasing, with the 7-day average outflow up more than 30%. This hints that bigger wallets may be quietly accumulating or repositioning.
Price action, however, remains subdued. SHIB is currently trading around $0.0000060, stuck in a tight consolidation range after a prolonged downtrend. The structure is shifting from decline to sideways movement, but there is still no clear breakout momentum.
Technically, RSI has recovered slightly above mid-levels, showing mild improvement in buying pressure. Still, major moving averages above continue to act as strong resistance, limiting upside attempts.
In simple terms, the market is balancing between two forces:
Selling pressure is slowly fading
But demand is still not strong enough to trigger a breakout
If this trend continues, SHIB could attempt a move toward the $0.0000065–$0.0000067 zone, where stronger resistance is expected. However, if inflows return aggressively, this stabilization phase could quickly reverse back into weakness.

Where Tokenized Assets Are Today

Tokenization is moving from concept to allocation. What matters now is how these assets fit into portfolios and what they actually enable.

Your clients are already hearing and asking about tokenized assets, and that trend will only accelerate.

In the last 18 months, companies like BlackRock, Franklin Templeton, and Fidelity Investments have launched real products on the blockchain, including Treasury funds and private credit strategies. Investors are taking notice. The numbers are rising, the news is easy to track, and the basic idea is simple: bonds, private credit, and money market funds are now available on-chain, without traditional intermediaries, and settlement becomes orders of magnitude faster.

That summary is mostly accurate, but it does not tell the whole story.

The technology to create tokens has never been the main challenge. The real test comes later, with decisions on compliance, identity, transfer rules, sanctions, and lifecycle management. These are the areas where most projects slow down, and where the market is evolving now.
