Details of the transaction indicate that the whale moved 6.3 million $XRP, worth roughly $8.8 million, from Upbit.

On-chain data shows the transfer was successfully validated, with the funds quickly redistributed across multiple wallets, signaling active repositioning rather than long-term storage.

Blockchain tracking indicates the receiving address now holds just 119,800 $XRP, valued at about $171,800, a drop from the original amount.

Why Zcash Is Up Today: ZEC Price Rally ExplainedZcash rallied sharply today after a powerful seven-day advance pushed the privacy-focused token more than 89% higher. The move followed a successful retest of the $336-$302 support zone, which gave buyers a fresh base for a breakout.

$ZEC then cleared the $405-$397 resistance area, aligned with the 38.60% level, before breaking above the $553-$528 zone. That level was last seen in December, making the latest move a major technical shift for the asset.

$ZEC Breakout Builds Momentum as Trading Volume Doubles

At press time, $ZEC traded near $580 after gaining 39% in 24 hours and setting a new yearly high. The token also remained strong on higher timeframes, with a 127% monthly gain and a 1,518% year-over-year increase.

The rally was further supported by an 113% jump in 24-hour trading volume to $1.77 billion. That increase showed stronger market participation as buyers pushed the token beyond key short-term resistance levels.

Momentum indicators also reflected the intensity of the move. The 14-day Relative Strength Index stood at 86.27, placing the token in overbought territory and showing heavy buying pressure.

The price action points to a momentum-driven breakout. Traders moved into the rally after the support retest and resistance break, creating a fast move above earlier price ceilings.

The reversal came as investors and analysts processed comments from the company’s new CEO Enrique Lores who said that PayPal needs to drastically cut costs and make structural changes in order to remain profitable.Those changes include cutting the workforce by about 20% over the next couple of years as the company drastically decreases its costs. Lores said that he believes he can put the company on a path that is stabler and more durable. His comments caused PayPal stock to sink back to its early April level at $46 per share.

Strong Earnings Derailed by Company Spending Woes

PayPal’s adjusted earnings for the first fiscal quarter of 2026 were $1.34 per share, and they beat Wall Street estimates for earnings with $8.4 billion in revenue for that quarter. Their revenue rose 5% when reporting on a constant currency basis, which eliminates price changes in foreign currency for accounting purposes.

The outlook for the quarter they are in is less than rosy, though, and the company  adjusted its forecast to account for cost cutting measures and changes in revenue trajectory. CEO Lores says that the expected adjusted income decline is in the high single digit, and that bleak forecast has shareholders dropping their PayPal investments this week.

Even though PayPal beat Wall Street revenue predictions of $8.1 billion with their $8.4 billion total and adjusted earnings per share of $1.27 with $134, their second quarter outlook has investors spooked. If the company cannot produce some growth in the current quarter, they may see their stock sink further than the 18.9% loss they have already experienced this year.

KelpDAO has issued a blistering response to Layerzero Labs following an April 18 exploit that drained more than $300 million in DeFi assets, primarily in the form of rsETH. In a public statement that contradicts Layerzero’s official post-mortem, KelpDAO alleges the bridge provider is “blaming users” for a systemic failure in its own core infrastructure.

The exploit, which has been linked with high confidence to the Lazarus Group, resulted in the fraudulent minting and release of assets.

While KelpDAO managed to block an additional $100 million in forged transactions by pausing contracts, the fallout has triggered a massive shift in the DeFi landscape. KelpDAO subsequently announced an immediate migration to Chainlink CCIP.

The central dispute lies in the cause of the breach. Layerzero’s post-mortem framed the incident as a “KelpDAO configuration issue,” specifically targeting Kelp’s use of a 1-of-1

decentralized verifier network (DVN) setup where Layerzero Labs was the sole validator. However, KelpDAO has fired back, citing Dune analysis showing that 47% of Layerzero OApp contracts—more than 1,200 applications—utilize the same 1-1 DVN “security floor.”
