Felix Turns to RedStone for HIP‑3 Perps With a 4‑of‑6 Multisig Model Built for $600M Risk
Felix became the first protocol to launch HIP-3 markets on Hyperliquid, using RedStone’s HyperStone oracle infrastructure.

HyperStone operates with a 4-of-6 independent signer verification quorum, a standard the DeFi market is far from adopting.

This solution processed $3.4 billion in trading volume across 15 markets with no downtime or incorrect price incidents.

The DeFi ecosystem lost over $600 million in the first four months of 2026 due to key management failures and dangerously weak multisig configurations. While the industry accumulated losses, Felix chose a different path and became the first protocol to launch perpetual markets under Hyperliquid‘s HIP-3 standard, backed by an oracle architecture designed specifically for that environment.

The attacks that occurred this year illustrate with precision a structural problem in the DeFi industry. On April 18, KelpDAO was hacked through its single DVN verifier on LayerZero, a 1-of-1 configuration that allowed attackers to mint 116,500 unbacked rsETH tokens worth $292 million.

The consequences spread to every lending protocol using rsETH as collateral: Aave recorded $10 billion in withdrawals within 48 hours and ended up with $230 million in bad debt. Drift Protocol was attacked through social engineering over six months, and its 2-of-5 multisig allowed $285 million to be drained in twelve minutes.

Strategy, the largest institutional Bitcoin ($BTC) investor, announced it will repurchase $1.5 billion worth of bonds.
Accordingly, Straetgy announced in an official statement that it has signed agreements with some investors to repurchase approximately $1.5 billion of its 0% interest convertible senior bonds maturing in 2029.
The company stated that the expected cash purchase price is approximately $1.38 billion.
The statement also indicated that the buyback could be financed with existing cash reserves, proceeds from the market-price share offering program, and revenue from Bitcoin sales.
Strategy expects the transaction to be completed around May 19th. Following the repurchase, the bonds will be redeemed, leaving approximately $1.5 billion in principal for the 2029 bonds.
As you may recall, last week Strategy founder Michael Saylor hinted at selling Bitcoin ($BTC) for the first time. While this caused surprise in the market, Strategy CEO Phong Le shared two scenarios in which they could sell $BTC.

Le had stated that, in the first scenario, they could sell their shares to finance dividend payments for STRC, which has perpetual preferred shares; and in the second scenario, they could sell to take advantage of tax benefits.

The Polish Parliament has taken a critical step in the comprehensive regulation process for the country’s digital asset market by approving a bill that will align with MiCA, the European Union’s framework for regulatory compliance with crypto assets.

The government-backed regulation aims to bring Poland into compliance with European Union standards by July. Otherwise, cryptocurrency companies operating in the country risk losing their licenses and permission to provide services.

The adoption of the new regulation coincides with a deepening of a wide-ranging investigation into Zondacrypto, one of the country’s largest cryptocurrency exchanges. Polish prosecutors are investigating allegations of fraud stemming from withdrawal problems on the platform. Initial estimates suggest the total losses incurred by users amount to 350 million zloty, or approximately $96 million.

Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk, in a statement in April, hinted at links between the Russian mafia and Russian intelligence services in the Zondacrypto scandal. These remarks heightened political tensions in the country and brought the security aspects of cryptocurrency regulation to the forefront.

However, the legislative process is still fraught with political uncertainty. President Karol Nawrocki had previously vetoed two similar cryptocurrency regulation bills presented by the government, arguing that they would place an excessive burden on the industry. Nawrocki had presented an alternative bill that included lower fines.
