Crypto analyst Celal has predicted that the Bitcoin price could hit a new all-time high ($ATH) of $145,000. The analyst also provided a timeline for when the leading crypto could hit this milestone.

When The Bitcoin Price Could Hit $145,000

In an X post, Celal stated that the Bitcoin price will rally to $145,000 between October and November. His accompanying chart showed that this rally could happen as $BTC’s Relative Strength Index (RSI) picks up and hits overbought, rising to 90. The chart also suggested that the leading crypto may already be forming a bottom as it eyes this rally to a new $ATH.

This Bitcoin price prediction comes as $BTC continues to struggle to hold above the psychological $70,000 level. The leading crypto is under pressure due to the U.S.-Iran war, with U.S. President Donald Trump threatening to escalate things if Iran doesn’t open the Strait of Hormuz.

Crypto analyst Ali Martinez noted that it is currently a waiting game as the Bitcoin price is at a crossroads. He said that $BTC is stuck in a “no-trade zone” and that right now, the area between $70,685 and $65,636 are the most important spot on the chart. The analyst further revealed that over 1.72 million $BTC have been transacted around this range, meaning that “buyers and sellers are digging in their heels.”

Martinez added that there won’t be a big move for the Bitcoin price until it either breaks above $70,685 or falls below $65,636. Crypto analyst Ardi stated that $BTC is still in a bear market and that the rally over the past few weeks was because of short covering. As such, the leading crypto is still at risk of a larger decline.

Kalshi joins Polymarket in sweeping user bans to head off insider trading

Two major prediction market platforms, Kalshi and Polymarket, on Monday announced new trading guardrails to address insider trading amid mounting concerns of market manipulation on recent event contracts.

It comes the same day that US lawmakers introduced a bipartisan bill to ban event contracts that resemble a “sports bet” or “casino-style game.”

Kalshi on Monday said it would preemptively ban political candidates from trading on their own campaigns and those known to be involved in college and professional sports, such as athletes, personnel, and referees.

Kalshi’s ban followed just hours after rival Polymarket revealed comparatively broader prohibitions to ban users who trade using stolen confidential information, illegal tips or those who can influence the outcome of a market.

The platforms have faced mounting criticism over insider trading after Polymarket users profited from well-timed bets before US and Israeli strikes on Iran and a US military operation to capture Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro.

Ben Yorke, a former Cointelegraph research analyst, told The Guardian on Monday that the Iran strike bets were “someone with some degree of inside info,” as the bets were made at market price, and multiple accounts were used in an apparent attempt to obfuscate their identity.

Kalshi said its ban has “been in the works for months” and was made to proactively address regulatory guidance and legislation introduced in Congress involving insider trading and market manipulation on prediction markets.

Kalshi, Polymarket tighten insider trading controls amid Senate scrutiny

In a blog post published Monday, Kalshi said it has introduced new screening tools to block political candidates from trading on their own elections, expanding existing restrictions that already apply to elected officials. 

The platform is also implementing a new policy targeting sports-related markets, using screening lists developed with integrity monitoring firm IC360 to prevent athletes, coaches, referees, and other insiders from trading on events they are involved in.

While such activity is already prohibited, Kalshi said enforcement had largely been reactive, requiring investigations after trades were placed. Kalshi also added a whistleblower feature embedded directly into its trading interface, allowing users to report suspicious activity more easily. 

Bobby DeNault, Kalshi's enforcement and legal counsel, said these measures have been in development for months to "proactively address" guidance from the Commodity Futures Trading Commission and Congressional proposals to prevent insider trading.

Meanwhile, Polymarket said Monday that it has updated its governing documents across both its decentralized platform and its CFTC-regulated U.S. exchange, introducing clearer rules around insider trading and enforcement.
