A Gold-Backed Token Structure
Under the proposed model, each digital token would represent a fixed amount of physical gold held in custody by an independent, institutional-grade storage provider.
The structure outlined by the company suggests:
1 billion tokens = 1 gram of gold
Tokens would only be minted when new gold is deposited
Tokens would be permanently removed from circulation when redeemed for physical gold
The company says this mechanism is designed to ensure a direct, verifiable link between digital supply and real-world assets, with full traceability and reserve backing.
Bridging Blockchain and Physical Assets
The core idea behind “Dogecoin Gold” is to combine the transparency of blockchain systems with the stability of commodity-backed assets. The goal is to make gold more accessible, divisible, and easier to transfer digitally, while maintaining strict auditability of reserves.
If implemented, the system would rely on a public blockchain with standardized token infrastructure and third-party verification of reserves.
Still Early Stage
Despite the detailed framework, the project is still in the evaluation phase. Dogecoin Cash Inc. has confirmed that:
