At this point, Citi, one of the most important names on Wall Street, also states that both $BTC and gold should be included in portfolios.
Citi analyst Alex Saunders said that a portfolio allocation of gold and Bitcoin is better than a traditional portfolio mix.

Strategy (NASDAQ:MSTR) shares rose 6% in early trading on Friday, following a sharp surge in the price of Bitcoin (CRYPTO:BTC). Bitcoin rose to $76,885.19, hitting a two-month high, fueled by signals that the war with Iran might be over. For a company that has built its entire identity on accumulating Bitcoin, this rise is almost directly reflected in the stock's performance.
MSTR shares closed at $148.94 on April 16, after rising 16% over the past week. This momentum makes today's move less of a surprise and more of a continuation of a broader recovery trend.
As of March 29, Strategy holds approximately 762,099 Bitcoin, with an average acquisition cost of $75,694 per Bitcoin. With Bitcoin currently trading above $76,000, the company's vast holdings are on the brink of profitability relative to that cost.  This is a psychologically important threshold for investors closely following this company.

Solana validator logs 32 delinquencies, foundation still claims ‘100% uptime’
The Solana Foundation is advertising “100% network uptime since March 2023” but delegators behind the Harmonic Major validator have had an entirely different experience.

Their node has gone delinquent 32 times in the past 30 days on a stake of 625,000 $SOL, worth over $50 million, according to validator tracker Slashr.

Slashr puts that at 12 times the network average over that time period.

Unlike certain proof-of-stake blockchains, Solana doesn’t slash validators for going offline, so no principal is at risk. Instead, delinquent delegators simply miss the vote credits, inflation rewards, and MEV share they would have earned.

The validator tracking service estimates the opportunity cost at roughly $413 per hour while the node is dark.

Harmonic, the company operating that validator, hasn’t publicly addressed a single incident.

A Solana validator is flagged delinquent once its root slot drifts far enough behind the supermajority that it’s effectively stopped voting.

Penalties on delinquent validators are entirely economic. Delegators forfeit the rewards they would have earned during the downtime but delinquencies don’t burn a stake nor force an exit from the validation system.

That distinction is the one Solana’s uptime marketing doesn’t make.

Although cluster-level uptime of the entire Solana blockchain correctly reveals 100% timeliness of the network producing blocks, the actual experience of someone staking $SOL with a validator or staking-as-a-service provider within a particular cluster can differ dramatically from that headline.

Validator-level uptime measures whether your specific node was voting.

The two numbers can diverge dramatically, and in Harmonic’s case, they have.

CoinSwitch Markets Desk noted, “Funding rates have been negative for 46 days, meaning many traders are positioning against BTC,  which can fuel a sharp rally if prices rise. Bitcoin dominance is steady at 58.5%, showing its control over the market. With volatility tightening, $75,000 remains the key level to watch for a real breakout or another rejection.”

Following this move, Tether’s total Bitcoin reserves now stand at approximately 97,141 BTC, making it the second-largest private holder of Bitcoin, behind Block.one. Among publicly traded companies, Strategy remains the largest corporate holder of BTC.
While Tether CEO Paolo Ardoino said the recent transfer was simply a wallet test, the company has a clear history of steadily accumulating Bitcoin over time. Similar movements have been observed before, including a transfer of 961 BTC last November, which was also moved into its reserve wallet.
Tether’s Bitcoin strategy began taking shape in September 2022 and was later formalized in May 2023, when the company announced plans to allocate 15% of its quarterly net profits into Bitcoin purchases. Since then, its BTC holdings have consistently grown as part of a broader diversification strategy.
Last June, Tether also moved 14,000 BTC from its reserve wallet to an address linked to Twenty One Capital, highlighting ongoing internal reallocations of its holdings.
Overall, this latest transfer appears to align with Tether’s long-term accumulation approach rather than signaling any immediate market shift.

Bitcoin’s Funding Rates now at their most negative levels since 2023, according to Glassnode’s 7-day MA. At the time of writing, the metric slipped to the -0.004% to -0.005% range; this is the deepest red stretch in recent times.

Short positions are dominating the market, and traders are betting on a greater fall.

But here’s where it gets interesting. Similar sentiment drops were seen around March 2020, mid-2021, and during the FTX-led collapse in late 2022; all well-known local market bottom phases.
