As of the press time, Bitcoin [BTC] traded between a clear buy wall and sell wall.

Repeated attempts to break $75K have failed, triggering pullbacks. At the same time, whales defended the $70K–$72K range.

That balance kept BTC in a narrow range, with neither side in full control.

Even so, short-term momentum remained positive. BTC held above the 9-day and 21-day Moving Averages for four straight sessions.

At the same time, the Stochastic Momentum Index (SMI) formed a bullish crossover and rose to 67. Its signal line stayed near 66.

Anthropic shipped Claude Opus 4.7 today, calling it the company’s most capable Opus model yet. We tested it, and the marketing lines up with the results.

"Our latest model, Claude Opus 4.7, is now generally available." the company said in its official announcement. "Users report being able to hand off their hardest coding work—the kind that previously needed close supervision—to Opus 4.7 with confidence."

The model arrives on the heels of weeks of user complaints about Opus 4.6 allegedly losing its edge. Developers across GitHub, Reddit, and X documented what they called "AI shrinkflation"—the feeling that the model they'd been paying for had quietly gotten worse. As we reported yesterday, Anthropic was already preparing 4.7 while sitting on something far more powerful that it can't release publicly: Claude Mythos.

When the announcement dropped this morning, X users who had been loudest about 4.6's degradation were quick to reply with sarcasm: Opus 4.7, some joked, felt like "early Opus 4.6"—the version people actually liked, before they believed Anthropic quietly turned the dials down. Anthropic, of course, has denied ever degrading model weights to manage compute demand.

If specialist media cools off, the assumption is that interest is cooling off too. It is an easy habit to fall into, especially in an industry that grew up on narratives, cycles, and headlines. Still, 2025 made that habit much harder to defend. A recent Outset Data Pulse report shows a market that kept buzzing even as traffic to crypto-native media moved the other way. The more interesting part is not just that crypto media weakened. It is that the largest crypto audience was still sitting outside crypto-native media altogether. Mainstream Media Held The Real Scale Looking at traffic across 349 outlets tracked through the recently launched Outset Media Index (OMI), the report found that crypto-native media still pulled in more than one billion visits across 2025, which sounds big until you look at how the year actually unfolded. Traffic started at around 106 million visits in January and ended the year at just under 71 million in December. That’s a drop of a bit more than 33%. There were a few moments when things bounced, especially in July, but those bumps were minor. By the time the year was closing out, crypto-native media was clearly drawing less attention than it had at the start. What makes it even more telling is that the audience was still spread all over the place. This was never a market held up by just two or three giant brands. The top ten outlets together made up only about a quarter of total crypto-native traffic, while the long tail, smaller publications most people barely mention in broad media conversations, still carried most of the audience.
